Club Sponsors

Mark, how can I be not renewing my season ticket again, if I did not have one last year how can I renew it this year?

There would be no need for rumours if the club had been open about the deal with its own fans - only making statements after others had informed us of what is going on.

Mark, it is the public comment of some of the members of MyFC who are clearly expecting and wanting to buy into a club.

I will keep renewing because of the reasons I joined, to own and have some fun, I was never one of the pick the team brigade, could never works with 30k people picking a team, I do like that we can in the future buy in to Slough....we could have sat on it for a year, raised more money and then made our move, Slough would still have been there and may even had had a home ground

the whole point of MyFC was that "we" owned it... What is the marketing strategy to increase membership when MyFC doesn't actually own anything, or have a say in how "their" club is run?

Nope! And no interest in being a sponsor of a football club

If I was a member of MyFC, even on the new proposed reduced rate, there's no benefit to me sponsoring a team without a say in what goes on in it. I can't see their decreasing member base being supportive of just being sponsorship. I'll remain cautious for now.

Ok Gary ie

Marcus hates the green kit but that didn't stop it happening, majority rule.

1 or 2 myfc want to buy a club but the other 998 don't, why are we fixing on the one or two instead of the majority.

Gary what was the numbers in the vote ( if you know ) how many of of the 1,000 were for Slough

Without paying £50 to find out, i can only go on the information publicly available. Even in their marketing brochure, it states about having the option to buy shares after year one and I really can't understand why they would be looking to partner a club where they can't do that. Given all their other suggestions are either already in place or well underway, can't see how that will be any different. Really do hope it is not the case.

I'm having a chat with one of the MyFC members on Thursday before/during training which I'm sure will be interesting.

And who were those others that made the "real decisions"?

Be honest for a change rather than blaming Charnock again (I'm not his biggest fan but he wasn't the reason things got so screwed up at Ebbsfleet).

The former chair of your own Trust takes a huge proportion of the blame.

I agree, and who put them there?? If you can't even control anyone you put in to run things, what can you control?

I have contacted the chairman about the quote I found online and he has responded very quickly with a response that has addressed the issues I put forward

I reserve my right to be a bit sceptical of MyFC, however I am willing to trust the people who run the club.

The best thing to do is trust Steve easterbrook and the board have made the right decision and watch what unfolds through out the year and evaluate the situation at the end of the season, if things are going smoothly and my fc are only here for sponsorship then let it be but if there are still concerns then the situation should be re evaluated and a decision should be made to keep with my fc or not.

I have my doubts about my fc as a group but I trust the board to have made a good deal and have kept the future of stfc safe.

Yes I think you're right SRJr, I think the reaction on here has been more through shock and surprise at the deal combined with the concern over the history of MyFC (and probably a lack of football to watch!), and most people will be behind the chairman and the board once things start moving in pre season. I know I will be now my issues have had a response but I will be very interested to see how this pans out.

However misguided you all think this is a bad deal and that they will try and get the club by the back door. All it needs is for our chairman to come out and say that its a legally binding contract that he has in place. As I won't be there Thursday ( as I don't feel that I need to be told who can and who can't play football-as I said before the proof will be in the first few games-excuses will be unexceptable ) maybe some of you sceptics can ask the chairman that question!
