What gets me is that why does all this take so long to come out.

Why do victims suddenly decide they are ok to talk about it now and they wasn't at the time??

unfortunately I suspect it has something to do with the fact that people are now trying to sue Stuart Hall and the BBC,i'm afraid that if 'victims' start successfully suing we can expect many false claims which is in nobodies interest least of all the 'genuine' victims.

No matter whether he molested 14 girls or 1400, he deserves to be punished fully.

 

15 months is a joke of a sentence, regardless of his age.  That means that other celebrities (current and former) who are molesting or who have molested youngsters will hardly be worried about 'justice.'  15 months and time off for good behaviour?  

 

Oh, and get this gem - under EU law the BBC must apparently keep his job position open for him.  That means he'll be out to report on Carlisle v Wigan in the 4th Round of the FA Cup then if it is true.

 

There needs to be a proper investigation into paedophilia and online images of child abuse.  Today, the parents of murdered April Jones asked David Cameron to do more to stop child pornography being viewed online and a couple of internet providers have said that they will do more.  Let's just hope that actions speak louder than words.

a proper investigation in pedophillia?? in what way? if you believe that people become paedophilles after viewing online images I think you will find that people are paedophilles long before they go looking for such images,as someone who regularly visits porn sites i'm yet to come across such material so its far to say to have to be pretty determined to find it in the first place. April Jones parents are probably experts in grieving and pain after the terrible event they have went through but sorry they  aren't experts in internet censorship. is there any chance you can sound less like a Daily Mail editorial. we had all this nonsense regarding 'video nasties' in the 1980's its a shame we haven't progressed.

theres probably 20/30 people in the entire country capable of killing a child, try to identify them and lock them up before they do, that's it nothing else you can do. most such people start off torturing animals/pets maybe we should treat animal cruelty more seriously, its a small step from torturing animals to torturing people.

I would imagine that there's tens of thousands, minimum, of people capable of killing a child, and certainly more than 20/30.

 

I do agree that animal cruelty could lead to other forms of disturbing behavior like pedophilia. I really worry about the kids that spend their developing years being brought up in high rise estates and being cut of from nature, and have always felt that if you respect nature you respect life.

Some studies claim that 1 in 200 people in the UK are psychopaths. Even more disturbing some claim that up to 1 in 100 young people are psychopaths.

 

Unfortunately we cannot identify them by looking at them.

The punishment can only equal the maximum time allowable when the crime was committed.

 

In this case the maximum period was 2 years, and the guilty plea would have reduced this.

Please do not call it child porn as that makes it almost seem OK, a better wording is child abuse photos.

Not to very young girls, he hasn't.

 

Then again, it seems he will have a very easy short sentence, as he was (allegedly), taken straight to the hospital wing of Her Majesty's  holiday camp.  I'm quite sure the likes of Fletcher  and  Godber would not be asked to look after him.

 

Proper  'cons'  won't give him the time of day, and he will certainly find out exactly what a 'Nonce' is.
