readingrebel
It's been quoted by our new Managers that we will play exciting attacking football next season. Whilst I agree that this sounds great and will be exciting to watch, I think we need to be wary of our past experiences. If my memory serves me correctly we've gone into previous seasons under managers like Derek Sweetman and initially Steve Bateman thinking this is division 1 and if we sign the right forwards we can out score the opposition and the title is ours. This philosophy is great if your forwards put away their chances but when they don't you get punished because the opposition score with the one of the few chances that come their way. Play attacking football by all means but if you put too much emphasis on attack and not enough on defence we might just pay the price.
Irishadrian
They've said they will play attacking football but not at the expense of a strong defence Remember their team last season had the best defence in the league less than a goal a game conceded I think they know how to get the balance right if they can recruit the correct players that's the questionmark at the minute.
