Ex player movement

He actually says abusive tweets and inboxes from some Slough fans which there is no sign of on his twitter feed.

I would certainly not like to think that any Slough fans would do that.

Dave Deeney was not wanted by the new Managers and as far as I can see there has been no animosity from him just good words for his time at Slough.

He often makes a point of telling the world he's really honest, but then comes out with some garbage and I'd bet he couldn't substantiate this claim. He loves the controversy and winding people up, as we saw with Barton last season. He played well for us in patches last season and is obviously a good player but was always liable to bring the club into disrepute. As others have said, he was also probably one of the higher earners and I'm therefore not disappointed he was shown the door and think we should only look forward now!

reading the Slough Express story Burnham hoping to talk to Danny Burnell about signing with them

also mentions that they tried to get Adam Martin but he is likely to be joining Wealdstone

Burnham have signed Anthony Page and Ryan Blake from Beaconsfield Sycob, Reece York from Northwood and Diak John from Hungerford Town so far.

Tony Mendy could be set for a move to the BSP - http://www.nonleaguedaily.com/news/index.php?&newsmode=FULL&nid=94580

interestingly mentions that Slough tried to get him last year although confusingly also mentions a striker having left us presumably meaning Burnell not that that was last year. anyway a sense of what might have been although as the manager says they set the team up for him therefore he gets more goals than he would probably elsewhere

He was actually alluding to the fact that we at Godalming put a 7 day approach for him, however we decided against going any further, so did not end up talking with him, but he is a decent player, who I believe used to be at Slough, but with an agent now, I understand he is trying to push up the leagues... Good luck to him.

fair enough that makes more sense.

yes Tony Mendy came through our youth team but never really seemed to get on with Steve Bateman and only ever played once for us i believe

Supposedly,he didn't turn up regularly at training or was often late.Steve Bateman and sources at the club on the forum gave that as the reason to let  him go.
