Neutral
interesting that they have invested 300k with the sole interest of being promoted to the Prem, I think a budget of much, much less than that could forsee that in Division 1. They certainly have a good manager in place, given the quality of the previous winners of Herts County League. What do you personally think ColdEnd? thecoldend
I saw Aslan play last season and from what I saw that side would of done very well in the Premier let alone Division One. They did have a budget which in the Herts County League Division One is almost unheard of. In the Aubery Cup Final they dominated the Premier Division champions Met Police Bushey who are a very good side. They'll certainly be one of the team's to beat next season in Division One
Shadow
Arent they just all of the Goffs Oak players from two seasons ago that came 5th in the HCL Prem the season before last?
LoucasX
I think that Goffs Oak team became Bush Hill Rangers under manager Tolga Huseyin last year. Kem Kemal managed Aslan last year. I think between the two of them they will have players from both these teams and also the Turkish Sunday league in London which is a very strong Sunday league. That was a figure being quoted to take over Hertford Town and even then was sketchy. Tolga Huseyin is a good bloke and if he's involved they've got a chance. But certs for promotion? Cold End is spot on about Aslan. I saw that Aubrey Cup final drubbing of Met Police (the best side in the Herts Senior County League Premier Division last season). But this is no mega takeover by fat wallets as some are portraying. Methinks Broxbourne Borough have been here before.
thecoldend
Horace, I agree. Tolga is a decent fella who knows his footy. His BHP team played decent style of football...he told me he'd rather play passing footy and lose than play long ball for 90 mins. They'll definately be up the top end of Division One next season.
