Is it fit for purpose as far as the club is concerned?

£960.00 plus carriage is the bottom line but if the club buy it then the vat can be reclaimed I guess.

I see the deadline is about 8pm on 14th June.

Put me down for £50.00 towards it

That's very generous of you (But i'm not here to take your money) I'm not saying we should go and buy it, and i'm sure there are implications about what you use to pull it. I am just throwing this into the ring suggesting that perhaps either we consider such a beast or do we just put some money into a pot and let Graham call in on an ad hoc basis again when required. But i also agree if we had one could we earn from it by letting out to others, i think yes. Do we need a tractor or some other vehicle might be suitable...Or could we get some local farmer to advertise free of charge and supply tractor and man when needed?

I happen to know a margate fan who has a tractor

Could someone ask the club if this machinery is good enough, if it is, then I will ask my friend if he is able / Willing to lend the tractor to the club on an as and when basis either free of charge or for a nominal fee

If you hire it out then several questions arise particularly with regard to public liability, insurance, maintenance etc etc - how do you move it etc, etc- probably makes it easier for hirers to do it as we did. We probably need to use one only twice per season I think I'vesey said the other day

It seems to me ,during the recession, that nothing has much value any more and there is a huge amount of tat around which is possibly why car boots are not so well frequented as all the Ming vases have been got for 50p and sold for thousands and everyone knows what a backstamp is on a piece of Moorcroft.   Therefore why not offer a silly price for it - say £250  (it'll cost a bit to transport down here from up there)and see what happens
