New News on home & away kit

From what I saw at the Wealdstone game the other week, your kit should be the least of your worries.

Bit of an uninformed silly post RH.

Wealdstone played very well and we never turned up.

Only 24 hours before the Wealdstone game we played Hayes and Yeading and lost 3-1. On the Saturday Wealdstone lost 3-1 to Hayes and Yeading.

Strange old game.

My only concern about the grey shirt is will it be a bit dull and non-descript,  a bit like the infamous grey Man U kit of a few years ago.

My preference will be for the purple shirt but with the same colour shorts, not white shorts like Daventry's.

I don't support Wealdstone, so the quickfire replies about how they lost doesn't mean anything to me. I was just making the point that you were very poor and may be in for a tough season, whatever kit you play in.

If pre-season results were an indication as to who will win the league then we might as well all pack up now and give it to Uxbridge.

Walloping Wealdstone 4-0 was an exceptional result but as we all know pre-season results can mean very little.

We will have our work cut out against Uxbridge on what we watched last night.

I think this division is looking stronger in depth than it's ever been.

Looking around at the other teams web-sites, apart from teams like Dunstable, Royston etc, teams like Barton are signing some good quality players.

I think we're in for a really tough season.

To be fair Rebadiah, you are spot on in terms of how poor we were that night, in fact we were awful, and if you had seen us for the first time I agree you would say that the away kit was the least of our problems.

On the night the lads looked like they had never even played together, and in conceding 4 in the second half we were terrible.

These things happen, maybe playing 2 games in 2 nights didn't help (not an excuse but will have had a bearing).

The thing is that performance was out of the blue, and that was not us at all, so like we were not concerned then, just because we have now beaten Biggleswade, we are not going to win the league.

Pre season do not count for an awful lot, we beat Biggleswade Saturday, they beat Boston United (conf North) last night 3-1... you could go on and on in terms of surprising results, indifferent performances. (Man Utd have lost to 2 Japanese sides pre season)

What will really count is those league games, when points are up for grabs.

As it has been stated already, the league will be a lot tougher this year, some strong sides and there will be teams like Daventry (who are having an excellent pre season) Uxbridge (who are usually a strong side anyway) and Barton (who have signed some good players) who will be seen as outsiders, however all very good teams, and could have a real impact this season.

I would just like to take this kit talking moment to thank everyone involved with Slough for allowing Sean Sonner and Talisman Alex Brown to leave the club without negotiation. This has opened up a new stage of their careers to move back to the the footballing home of Sun Postal.

P.s. - please dont disgrace the Real Madrid colour of all white and allow you're club to wear this. Plus David Brent would not approve it for he's home town club.

If he went I think he is entitled to an opinion. I went and we were very poor. However you can't judge a team on one game... If we play like that all season we would struggle. However if we play like we did in most of the other friendlys we will do well. Funny old game...

Good man Don Juan, a nice, calm, normal response. It wasn't an attack on your team, I just thought you were poor that night. Interesting views from Sun Postal on Alex Brown, did you guys like him? Most people I know were shocked that he was playing at your level last year.

Just so you all know, this thread will be moderated to remove a lot of the off-topic squabbling! Could those of you involved please use PMs instead. Thanks

Well said Matt. I just came on here to talk about Slough, kits and football, not be abused. Any issues with me, PM me.... Not on Bebo though Staines Rebel and Glen, I don't have it.

No smiley, but assume you're only joking about the all white strip of Real Madrid.

Alex Brown never gave less than 100% every game.

I think he would admit himself not the most gifted of players (a bit like most center backs) but you knew he would win most balls in air and would be constantly talking and motivating players.

In short, a leader at the back.

Back on topic.

I see on the MyFC website that they are now showing a photo of the new logo that's been chosen on one of the possible away shirt designs.

I might be jumping the gun but when will we be able to see a photo of the new Supporters Trust logo on the new home shirt?
