New News on home & away kit

I think the club is missing something here. We've already established that not many fans use this forum (some can no longer find it), which would probably mean that quite a few fans are not looking at the MyFC website.

Surely there is some need for the club to promote MyFC's activities such as when members are being polled on things like the new away shirt? This may even convince people to join up to MyFC, rather than just hearing through word of mouth from people who happen to have looked on their site, and I'm sure purple would rather be informed directly on things like this. Especially in the case of a new kit which will mostly be worn and seen by the clubs current fan base (with a few extra additions).

Have to agree with you ARAAS.

I only found out when it was mentioned on here that MyFC were voting on the away shirt logo and I then looked at the MyFC web-site to discover the away shirt voting.

Also, I know MyFC are the away shirt sponsors but would have been nice to have seen photos of the shirts on this web site and asked for our opinions as well.

MYFC have been in contact with the people that run the Slough Town Facebook page with the intention of giving the entire fan base of the club a say on the away kit colours..... so far they have not had any success getting the details of this posted on the Facebook, as soon as it happens I will let people know on here, but it will need to happen soon because a final decision does need to be made by midday on Thursday if the shirts have any chance of being available for the first away match on 20th August.

Thanks for your reply Curtis.

Hi Curtis, I can't speak for the others, but I haven't seen anything to be able to post to the Facebook page. If you contact me via email I will try to do this after work this evening (I will send you a PM now)

Yes I quite like the ones with the yellow trim.

I notice as well that the MyFC members have voted for reduced membership fees. If that's the case it may tempt me to sign up and see what kind of things they do, Curtis any chance you know when this would be happening?

My preference is for A or B with the amber trim, obviously with a modern collar.

I am hoping by the end of today you will have details of where you can e-mail your preference to..... in addition there will probably be a free sign up to a regular Slough Town FC newsletter

The MYFC members vote on annual subscription fees closes at midday on Thursday 1st August (the options on the vote are £25, £30 and £35).... as soon as the vote closes I will advise you of the result, and I would expect that the outcome will be implemented on their site very soon after that.

On the question of a colour clash, with the purple colour I can only think of Daventry, with the Silver/Grey colour it will depend if you could play against a team playing in white. The only team I can think of that play at home in white is Royston.

Since we have a specific away shirt sponsor this season, both the Grey and Purple were selected on the basis that they will be used whenever possible for away matches, and would result in very few colour clashes when they could not be worn.
