Im surprised a team like London Lions FC doesn't try to take over or rent Kingsbury Towns ground at Silver Jubilee Park.

There must be lots of teams in that area looking for a decent ground to play at with floodlights, stands, dugouts and a big Bar.

Anyone know what the situation is with the ground ?

Why no regular senior club play there ?

How do you find these things, SB?

what a shame, looks like an excellent set up! Easily 100+ seats, floodlights, good bar.

On their History section it says 'Kingsbury London Tigers' played their up until the 09/10 season, and apparently that is where their 'history' ends on the website.

It would make a good permament home for Southall or London Lions!

Just thought I would check if the ground was still there so just googled Kingsbury Town FC to see what I would find.

Indeed a very nice little ground going to waste.

I agree, and there are several grounds going to waste nationally that could be re-opened and re-used (Nene Park, The Loot Stadium, Lion Park and Oldbury United's old ground).

Who owns the site that the ground is on?  Perhaps a deal could be done in the near future.

What sort of state is it in generally?

Aylesbury United's old ground also lies un-used. Breaks my heart to see clubs struggling when so many perfectly fine grounds are wasted! :(

Slight difference there though, it lies un-used - but not usable! (Without huge investment in renovation anyway...)

As for SJP, I quite liked that ground too. Always nice on a summer's day/evening (which seemed to be the only time we were scheduled there)!

QPR Ladies play at Uxbridge FC. Viking Greenford where London Tigers now play is one ground that I always say could be a nice little ground but nothing ever seems to be done there. I know its had problems with vandals etc, but I'm sure if a club wanted to really make it their home they could

Wasn't there a plan to do up Buckingham Road if the two Aylesbury sides agreed to merge?

I love SJP. Don't QPR Ladies team also use it??. Clubhouse is nice too

Old Actonians Ladies used it a couple of seasons ago for their midweek games with Enfield Town Ladies.

Everything was up to a good standard then with the ground.

When Viking FC played there it was smarter. If the ground and clubhouse was given a lick of paint + they put some seats in the stand behind the goal it would make a massive difference to the ground. I wonder if the reason London Tigers FC are not bothering with the ground is that they will be leaving the gound in the near future and don't want to waste any £ on a place they wont be at in the near future.
