Players starting to depart

So far Warro and Dave Deeney have announced they are leaving the club on twitter.

Yep, looks like it is night of the long knives, but a shake up is probably just what we need. Will be sorry to see a number of players go but a fresh squad with new management means we can approach the upcoming season without any cobwebs from the last campaign

Let's just hope that players like Warro go and play for teams higher up than us, and not stay at the same level.

I know we all have our personal favourites but I really hope we hang on to Ed Smith. He not only scores lots of goals but his all round work for the team is excellent.Sorry to see Warro go as he was an excellent shot stopper.

having read interviews in the local press I can't say i am too surprised by certain players leaving the club. thats not to say they are bad players and am definitely sad to see them go

 

i fully support the decision though if this is for the best in Bakes and Unders view then we as fans have to back them

Best of luck to the lads leaving us. They are all good players and I'm sure they'll have no trouble finding new clubs, possibly even at a higher level in some cases. I'd often chat to Murphs after games and he was a good lad, he travelled a long way to play for us, missed work during our run in from hell last season and made the effort to attend Chris Sliski's funeral. I think up until the injury problems he was a top player for us.

 

Delighted Jacko will be around next year - he's Slough through and through and no doubt a bit cheaper than some of those names departing! I think there will be a lot more before the week is out, I'm personally holding out hope that our skipper survives the cull but, apart from Super Kev, I don't think anyone is indispensable.

Disappointed to see some of the players dropped as they have shown that they are some of the best in the league when they get their mind in the game.

 

I wish them all well for the future and I doubt it will be hard for them to find a new club.

 

was hoping that warro and burnell stayed as they have been great over the last few years, warro being one of the best keepers we had had for a while and burnell was a proven 20 goal season striker.

 

just hope that the new management have lined up suitable replacements as there have been some big losses

well with two of my wishes for next season already completed, warro a good keeper but unless he can improve his kicking i think he will not go much higher dave deeney is a loss as is his brother,so we will just see what the new management team can bring in.

I think you might have hit the nail on the head there Mark.

 

Bakes and Unders talk about a plan to succeed next season.

 

Apart from some more younger players who can run all day and press higher up the pitch, I think the way the players are paid will also be part of their master plan.

 

I might be wide of the mark but in simple terms I think it will be win and you get paid, lose and you don't.

 

Would certainly attract players who are winners and not after the easy buck.
