CCL management meeting tonight

It will be interesting to see two decisions which I'm presuming will be discussed / made this evening

As i informed you, Warlingham have quit Whyteleafe and asked the league whether they can continue their

membership playing at Verdayne gardens. Initial verbal reaction was no and the club is expecting this to be ratified this evening.

But think of this, Warlingham took on a groundshare, firstly at Merstham and then Whyteleafe to attempt to progress. They weren't forced too, they made the decision themselves after their plans and proposals for a new ground were turned down by the council.

Had they decided against that and stayed at Verdayne, they would still be playing there and this 'situation' would not have arisen. Be interesting to see the outcome but i know where my money is going !!

Secondly, three seasons ago, Les Pharo in his infinite wisdom, advised Coulsdon that as they had finished bottom of division one a long way behind the second bottom team they would be relegated to the Elite league to find a strength more akin to their own.

I watched CB Hounslow on Saturday and they were dire !!! The Coulsdon team which was relegated would comfortably have beaten this poor excuse for a team. They too have finished bottom and also a long way off safety. In fact Coulsdon finished 21pts behind from 40 games and CBH have finished 19pts behind from 34 games. Had they had another 6 games to play it's not unrealistic to assume they would finish 24/25 pts or more adrift. Will CBH be relgated ?  I think not?

Watching with interest !!!!

Think it will be hard for the League to come to any decisions tonight, until the F.A. have divulged who goes where.Kent League only has 16 teams and no promotees. They will surely move across at least 2 CCL sides to help make the numbers up.They should allow Warlingham to return to Verdayne and keep their CCL status until Clubs can fulfill the grading criteria required by the F.A.

Anyone know the outcome of this meeting?

As an aside,Guernsey will play midweek home games next season in the Ryman. Also all Saturday home games will need to kick off early,as day trips will be the order of the day,for visiting Teams.GFCTV will be overjoyed, doubt any Ryman Clubs will be.

Really, thats interesting as Farleighs chairman knew NOTHING of the proposal when I was with him on Sunday and Warlingham are at this very moment holding a committee meeting to discuss all eventualities for next season concerning wether to play at Church Road or Verdayne Gardens (groundshare NOT on the agenda) and appointing a new first team manager !!

Still no comment Chubby ??  What a pile of crap you come out with at times !!!

As I am a member of both clubs and am always talking to both sets of commitee members I think I am well informed.

There will be some interesting news re both clubs very shortly so i won't divulge anything as yet, however what I can say is I have been asked

to return to Warlingham (not decided on what capacity) as yet, and i have confirmed I would be very pleased to get involved there again.

Warlingham advised the League that they could no longer afford to ground share at Whyteleafe FC and had asked to return to their ground at Verdayne Playing Fields. If that could not be allowed, they had enquired about possibly ground sharing at Farleigh Rovers FC.

The League were unanimous that the facilities at Verdayne were no longer suitable for 1st Team matches, given the present day requirements for Step 6 clubs. However, to assist a member club, it was proposed that Warlingham be allowed to ground share at Farleigh Rovers in season 2013-2014 with the matter to be reviewed at the end of the season.

As the ground did not fully meet the requirements of Grade G, Warlingham, along with Farleigh would be shown as a “relegated” club and would be subject to actual relegation in the future unless the requirements of Grade G could be met. It was understood that Farleigh were renewing a previous application for floodlights that would allow them to meet the requirements in due course.

Good luck with your new role at Warlingham, hopefully you will be able to improve their discipline.

Interesting news Spy ?  could that mean Warlingham and Farleigh Rovers amalgamating ?

@RyeUnited: Unconfirmed.....reliable source states that the FA have moved Rye and Crowboro to Kent League. Sussex League to appeal. #nomadforum found on twitter

Not only that but apparently Alton Town have been moved into the CCL from the Wessex League. It's said that none of the clubs or leagues were told about these recent moves and they're only filtering out now after the latest FA meeting last night. If we're getting teams who didn't apply moving in does that mean we're also losing teams to get the Kent League up to 20 clubs? Croydon would be the first obvious example.

I think the Kent league would be better for Croydon travel wise
