I think I might know who hotspur thinks the manager is going to be. Not quite sure what gave it away though ;)

Not if you believe what printed in the Express.

They are only talking about interviews in the express - I was saying discussions which is different and may well influence who makes the short list for interviews.

 

Roy knows an awful lot of people in non-league and his judgement will be invaluable to Steve Easterbrook in this process and I am sure Roy will have done his homework to identify who the real candidates are.

No idea if Terry Brown is a candidate at all. He might want a bigger club, but love some of the things he says in that interview about wanting a "project" and getting a team 2 or 3 leagues better than they are (what we'd want if we get a new ground).

 

He also mentions building a young side (which is something we need.  IMO We need to bring  "Slough based" players through the system from our reserve/youth/Academy system from  which we've only seen Mo from so far)

I thought that was the whole idea of having a Reserve/youth/academy sides.

 

If they are good enough they should make the progression into the first team squad on the recommendation of Mark Betts.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if he did get the job.Our attendances would certainly go up and we would get a lot of publicity and also attract some bloody good players to our level. Also we wouldn't languish in this league for long.

 

The NLP article highlighted Slough in a positive light and there were mentions for Roy Merryweather,Darren Wilkinson and Dave Anderson.So with wishful thinking from my part,Terry Brown just might be thinking about Slough Town FC,as his next project. 

 

You never know,stranger things have happened.It would be a major coup for our club.A pipedream maybe, but I'm crossing my fingers just the same.
