He actually held up one of his cue cards to show everyone.  All it had written on it was 'the future', and nothing else.  He said he is having more talks with the chairman over the weekend.

I for one am hoping he stays.

 

RR - he did say he is always willing to answer questions, so he should be prepared for questions like that repeatedly.  But as very few people actually approach him and just moan on here, he clearly doesn't have to worry about becoming fed up with it!

 

It's also interesting that after all the moaning and complaining on here about how terrible things have been with losing some of the games, particularly in the last month....our two central defenders were runner up and winner of the supporters' player of the season competition.

You have certainly asked questions on this forum after defeats about players, tactics etc.

 

Have you ever approached SB to answer your questions? no you haven't, so, with respect, I would suggest you don't preach to other people what you are not prepared to do yourself.

 

 

What's moaning about losing games in the last month got to do with our two central defenders winning awards? The awards are for the whole season not just the last month or so and defeats are not  always just down to defenders.

Whilst I agree that people should be able to voice their opinions this post is about recognition for pm the players who received awards yesterday and we should all recognise that.

 

The problem is not that people voice their opinions, it's that every post that is good is shot down.

You know very well that positive and negative postings are what you call 'shot down'.

 

I'd prefer to call it a 'difference of opinion'.

Out of interest  Did all the first team playing squad attend?  Failure to attend this type of function is often and early indication of who might be playing elsewhere next season.

Most of the squad were there.............two or three had indicated that they couldn't make it when the date was changed at short notice. Steve Bateman and Fred Cummings were also there .......all were well up for a chat about the season , the highlights and lowlights, but discussions about next season were rightly very limited.

 

Bit of a shame there were not more supporters there but those of us who were had a good time and enjoyed being with the squad and of course each other.

Let's hope next seasons presentation evening includes that trophy we have been waiting for !
