C'est la vie
Just wondered what players you would keep for next season and where you would strengthen?? Here's mine: James Warrington and James Hawtree Sean Fraser Ashley Deeney David Woozley Alex Brown Adam Martin Adam Logie Sam Bateman Kyle Anthony Joe Chandiram Jake Parsons Danny Burnell Ed Smith Ryan O'Toole I would look to get in another CB,LB,CM,LM and Striker(Target Man)
Radders
From your list Barry, I would remove logie and Chandiram, then add Rhone, swift and burgess. I would be looking (minimum) for a big CB, a CM and a fourth CF.

Not sure Sam Bateman will stay,if his Dad leaves, either! Or a lot of the players, saying that ! I would keep Danny Murphy and Stuart Swift. I would let go Dominic Rhone,Ollie Burgess,Dave Deeney,Jamie Jackson and surprisingly,Danny Burnell, not because I don't rate him but I would like to see Slough play a different style, plus with DB and Dave Deeney gone, maybe it would free up a bit of money. Would keep Steve Perkins as coach and emergency cover.Would look to get two new centre midfielders[one experienced and one an up and comer]. In another surprise, I wouldn't go back down the Paul Coyne route, even though,I know he is a class player. I would look to bring in a speedy forward and a target man .Also a left winger and another centre half So that would be 5 out and 6 in, to start the season with. Mark44
Have to agree on Rhone. Suffered terribly with injury but inky opinion out answer to that left side
The Mayor Of Simpleton
Hope people don't object to a non lough fan posting, but are Slough considering trialist matches for the up coming season? I know of people at UK Football Finder, and their Elite side is looking to play some games in/around London before they fly off for a tour of Greece at the end of July. Their Elite players are pretty decent, and most of them would be able to play at Step 4 and above. If a trial game sounds good, and Slough Town officials want to follow it through, drop me a PM. Best wishes for next season, and I hope that like Gloucester City you are back playing at home soon!
Cookham Rebel
I would keep the following: Warrington Hawtree Woozley Brown Fraser Martin Swift Parsons Anthony Smith O'Toole That's mean I would not re-sign the following: Jackson Murphy Rhone A.Deeney Logie Burgess D.Deeney Chandiram Burnell A rather large overhaul is required! Warrington and Hawtree will cover the GK positions. In defence, another CB with pace (No idea!), a left back/wing back (Ryan Parsons?!?!) and a utility defender who can play all along the back line (Simon Sweeney would more than suffice!)... Midfield... Pay for Paul Coyne's return ticket, find out if Chris Seeby is back in love with the game and sign him, and again a utility player who can play all across the middle! In attack, do whatever it takes to sign Michael Chennels and find a target man (Oliver Hawkins?!?!)... Do the above and it's a squad of 19 but that includes a back up keeper, and if Adam Martin is with us in August I'll be amazed! So in theory, 17 players! 3spirit
I agree a fit Simon Sweeney and Chris Seeby would be excellent signings for the defence. Not convinced with Seeby in midfield. Thought Ashley Deeney was poor when he first joined but became Slough's most improved player by the end of the season.Well worth keeping. Danny Murphy wasn't at his best this season but a very useful player to have, with an engine to burn and can play left back, wing back and left midfield. I think he should stay. Wasn't that impressed with Joe Chandiram when he first came but he grew on me and thought he had some excellent performances,in some of the end of season games. He can play central midfield, too. Adam Logie,as you know CR,is a favourite of mine but he has for a season and a half looked a bit overweight and not as sharp as he could be but it doesn't help that he rarely gets a run in the team. A fit Adam Logie is too good to get rid of and with some management motivation has goals in him,as well as being a handy utility player. Chesham fans seem to like Michael Chennells, according to their forum,so I'm not sure he would be available. Oliver Hawkins,is a good target man and still young and might want a new challenge. Don Juan DeMarcus
Hate these threads..... Feel it's very harsh on some players who have had a very good season ie Burnell burgess and deeney as well as those who didn't get a chance.... Rhone. I know of some players I could live without but wouldn't post here...

I know of some players I could live without but wouldn't post here... We soon won't be able to talk about anything to do with Slough Town ! It's pathetic. We all watch the games. It's nothing personel about commenting on the players we like and favour, and the ones we would let go. All the players I've said I would lose are all good players,it's just that I believe Slough needs refreshing. Take Dominic Rhone,I think he will get better, and his size and speed is an asset to his game.Something we failed to utilize enough before his unfortunate injury but for me we missed a tricky dribbler on the left wing, who would bring some creativity. At the end of the day,it's only like picking your ' fantasy football team '. The real manager makes his own decisions on his squad and our opinions count for nothing. Don Juan DeMarcus
3spirit didn't say it couldn't and shouldn't be discussed just saying my personal opinion (surely I'm allowed that?)
Mark44
I am with you sue. I think we have a strong nucleus to this squad as the last 5 games showed us they are good enough. We just need to add a bit more quality in certain areas to make them unstoppable
