WELWYN GARDEN CITY FC – A STATEMENT

 

Welwyn Garden City FC regret to announce that player-manager Scott O’Donoghue has resigned his position with the club due to a combination of increased business pressures and because of family commitments.

 

The club would like to place on record its appreciation of Scott’s efforts and dedication in his season in the post and wish him all good fortune in the future.

 

The search for his successor will begin immediately.

 

Any further inquiry or comment on this matter can be obtained by contacting Welwyn Garden FC football chairman Dick Dunning on 07940-125082.

I have to agree with that...

Kind words Gents, kind words!

I will be around watching a few games next season and of course I still have that "black book" which you are welcome to tap into like a few other people have already started to do since the weekend :)

Haha get used to it. I've been out the game for 2 years now & I still get regular calls or Facebook messages from Managers or coaches. Sadly I think it's very common now that players don't commit enough to their club. When I played, my life revolved around football, now it seems the other way round.

I could just imagine the reaction from some of my old bosses, if I told them me & several team-mates would be missing a match because of a stag weekend !

ha ha..there aren't many in that category...I leave Spartan football having never beaten Joycey and Awad after numerous attempts and it took me my last attempt with Heathy before he left Leverstock!
