marksandwell
Due to Technical Difficulties some of you may not have heard the full speech prepared By Alan Bennet & Richard Curtis, so here is transcript... UBLOW Supporter of The Season We hope each year, a short list of nominees will be open to selection, and chosen by their peers. There is a Trophy that will be held for a Season, plus a Trophy for the recipient to keep. This season being the first, was selected purely by UBLOW, i fact the Trophy was only decided on a week ago. caring out a small straw poll, the recipient was well received. There are of course many, many supporters who are worthy of this Trophy, and I'm certain will be in the running in future seasons. The Swinnock family, dave Miles, Harvey John Witball, The Choir, Jim, Cookie, Terri to name but a few. What a great bunch of supporters you ALL ARE, dipping your hands in your pocket for Winkles new toy, and Grahams Verti drain, and of course supporting week after week. Sharing our Highs and lows, cursing and praising, and showing a passion that is unique to Non League football. So the winner of this seasons award goes to someone who doesn't live in Margate, or indeed Thanet. They live far away a land full of dragons & hobbits. Every home game is an away game, but this person is always first at the turnstiles. (Bar the Swinnoks) The receipent started supporting MFC towards the end end of a certain Dovers Mgr first reign, and the start of robin Trotts. They believed Trotts team was the best, till this season, now thye feel the team has been as equally good. There favourite player is Marc Cornielle, not just because they share the same hairstyle, but they also share the same commitment, passion & determination. So it gives me great pleasure to award Supportr of the Season, to a man who looks as though he's been on Crimewatch a few times. Nut who's love for Marget is unquestionable, the lovely MICK POLLARD.
