Play offs

Having missed the play offs by a single point it will be interesting to watch the play offs from afar this time around

 

So the play off games will be

 

Rugby vs Beaconsfield

Godalming vs Biggleswade

 

Its tough to call imo,

 

Rugby have come 2nd and just missed out on automatic promotion but have picked themselves up and won a few since we beat them,

 

Beaconsfield have had a good winning run and beat Godalming and Biggleswade but lost away at Rugby a month ago.

 

Godalming have done well and got 3rd but don't really have any momentum going into the play offs but many people have commented that they are one of the best teams we played this season and with home advantage they have a good chance.

 

Biggleswade have just lost to burnham and Beaconsfield and will be away and have the worst away record of the play off contenders but they are a good team and can win and in the lottery of the play offs you definetly cant rule them out.

 

I think the winner will be either Rugby or Beaconsfeild.

Actually think this could go 'to the table' so to speak. Predict a rugby, godalming final with rugby winning.

had Beaconsfield won today i would have picked them due to the momentum getting in there whereas the other 3 have stumbled at times recently more so. not sure i could cope with Beaconsfield winning them. hopefully Godalming or Rugby win as they been the standout 2 of the 4 through the season

Surely Mr Rebel you wouldn't begrudge your teams landlords luck in the play-offs, they really are starting to be the most successfull team at Holloways Park ! oops its been a long day

Surely you should know you're home grounds name even after a long day. anyway good luck in the play offs, it is a good achievement for sycob to make the play offs 2 years in a row but as we well know, it's what you do in these matches that really counts!!! I'm sure if it was the other way round you would be wishing us good luck too ..... :s

Anyway, reading these posts about not wishing our 'rivals' luck, personally, I have no malice towards Burnham or Beconsfield. I wish Burnham the best for next season and wouldnt lose too much sleep if Beconsfield get promoted, fair play to them if they do (although, I think having two away games would be tough for them).

SYCOB's play off place was saved today by a Brook House equalizer in the 87th minute against Royston lets see if they can carry that kind of luck into the games

Yet again you show signs of a lack of football nous-whoever don't go up could have completely different sides next year ( hopefully so will we) so its pointless hoping certain teams go up.

I did hear somewhere that you were a teacher ( hope its not true ) because you lack understanding of things-just because Rugby have been consistant for a few years does not mean that next year they will be as good, any football fan can tell you that-but sadly like a few more on here you don't listen.

Everyone knocked me for telling as it was ie: not good enough for promotion and blow me I was right.Next season I will help you out after a couple of games, and let you know our chances.
