Rother
Very enjoyable game, very competitive but played in good spirit. Again Windsor played some great stuff, slick passing moves that were very easy on the eye, but when Farnham got one back (we keep giving away soft goals) they got better and better and dominated much of the last half hour. (Their No 9 was excellent.) Windsor just held on to finish a topsy turvy but extremely rewarding season at Stag Meadow. (Just one away game left on Saturday.) Chris Clapham
190 goals in Windsor's 41 league games this season!
Don't Blame Me
Which works out at 1.30GBP per goal assuming a 6GBP admission fee across the 41 games thus far. Now, if that isn't value for money, I don't know what is!
sparksy
A decent game last night considering neither side had much to play for. I thought Farnham were one of the best sides we've seen at Stag Meadow this season they played the ball around nicely and were really well organised. First half was pretty even with both sides having chances to take the lead but half time arrived with no score. Early in the second half Windsor took the lead with a quality finish from Sheehan, a deep cross from the right which Sheehan brought down with his chest before smashing a half volley into the roof of the net from a tight angle. Not long after Windsor added a second. Farnham will be kicking themselves for conceding this one. The ball went out for a throw level with the edge of the box on the left, Rob Lazarczuk took a quick long throw..George Gould standing on his own on the six yard line not a defender in sight glances a header in off the inside of the post. Poor defending enabled Farnham to pull a goal back. Windsor defender and keeper seemed to hesitate allowing Farnham striker (not sure of name) to go round the keeper and finish well. Both sides had chances after with Farnham finishing the game much stronger than Windsor although Windsor did go close again when Lazarczuk hit the post from a free kick. As i said a decent end of season game where i think a draw would have been a fair result. Looking forward to getting back to Stag Meadow next season. Smudge
Nice to see that you are now using the Value for Money principle down at Windsor now, albeit a few years late.
Windsor_Sec
Different managers, different players, different tactics but I'd like to think in recent years we've always provided spectators with VFM Smudge !

Ace1
Someone, who then spent the whole time we were in your clubhouse in conversation with your manager, approached our number 9 asking for his mobile number and explaining a few financial issues!!!! Rother
Quite probably a touch of naivety on my part but, although I understand it has happened many times to us this season, I'd be disappointed if we were making an illegal approach and offering to pay a rival team's player, which is presumably what your are inferring, rather than the conversation being about the price of a pint in the clubhouse? Windsor_Sec
Ace1, if you are accusing Windsor of an illegal approach I suggest you tread very very carefully as the person in question is actually with a club at Step 4 and our manager told me what had happened the following morning as it would seem he also tried it on with some of our players. The fact he then spoke to our manager is neither here or there but any financial negotiations with the player concerned is further proof that it was not an approach from us because we don't pay anything !. It might actually make sense to ask your number 9 the name of the person he spoke to and the club he was invited to for pre-season before making assumptions and, when he has confirmed those details, perhaps you might like to come back on this thread and withdraw the insinuations you have made against Windsor FC. Chris Clapham
Oh no more who does/doesn't pay blah blah! We aint got a pot to piss in but we're happy! Illegal approaches continue to happen and will do until the County FA/Leagues deal with the issue.
Rother
Excellent Windsor Sec. I was hoping to pull a little bit more out of Ace1 before bringing his comments to your attention but I guess the job's done. And Chris, the point is that false accusations are irritating and potentially damaging. They should not be allowed to go unchallenged.

Steve, I have spoken to the player directly and his recollection of evening is that he was approached by a gentleman in a blue jacket who said "would you like to play for them next season and they have a financial budget". The player then identified the gentleman in your clubhouse in conversation with your first team manager! Now we were playing away at Windsor and someone asks a player do you want to play for THEM allows for the assumption that he was talking about your club. If he wasn't then the player has made the wrong assumption and I will apologises on his behalf!
