Slough Town 2 Bishop's Stortford 2

encouraging first half, went in 2-1 up thanks to an own goal and a Matt Millers controversial second. They scored a sloppy first and indeed a sloppy second to take us to a replay. The second half we were poor, as were Stortford, and Ryan Spencer had a chance to win it in injury time but put his header wide. Not the greatest game in the world...

I thought we were outclassed in the second half and didn't really look like doing anything until they equalised. Second goal was absolute class. Barnett shouts "Out of play" Full back promptly stops thinking the ball has gone out for a throw in before he'd brought it back round and "into play". Miller runs in and pokes the ball past the dodgy keeper...

Play to the whistle

You're supposed to play to the whistle

Plaaaaayyy to the whistle...

Anyone get the feeling it's going to be Welling all over again though?

Have we got much chance in the replay?

Is it worth a five hour round trip?

Will they have they minds on Mansfield away in the fa cup next Saturday?

Are many slough supporters going?

Have we got much chance in the replay?

Yep. I do think so especially if we get two of the three out back

Is it worth a five hour round trip?

Up to you!

Will they have they minds on Mansfield away in the fa cup next Saturday?

Possibly, but the winners of this tie get £1,800

Are many slough supporters going?

50-80 I would imagine?

As a stortford fan, we were annoyed with your second goal today. Although maybe our left back should have wellied it int oWindsor great park as Barnett was telling him too, he, and the rest of our team clearly stopped as it looked like one of your players was badly injured.

Maybe our guy was a tad gormless, but it was a sporting gesture that was not honoured by your forward (miller?)

Maybe if we hadn't drawn, there would be some arsenal/sheff utd type farce. Also the referee, watcing all of this happen could have blown for unsporting behaviour.

Anyway, it's done now.

See you all on tuesday

I'm still amazed at the full back that simply stopped and stood there.

Was there a whistle?

Why didn't he put the ball out before when your players clearly saw our player down injured?

What did Barnett tell him to do? Put the ball out into touch. Simple instruction.

I don't think it was unsporting behaviour at all, but then I'm supposed to say that. If it had happened against us, then yeah I'm sure we'd all be hollering the same thing, but it all comes down to the referee. He didn't blow. First unwritten rule of football. Play to the whistle.

Matt Miller had already carried on closing down the defender even though he knew Haddow was down so it was obvious he had no intention of stopping play.

If I was a Stortford player or fan, my anger would be vented at the player who just stupidly rolled it onto Miller's foot, not the referee or Slough players.

Urchin,

its five hours on the train for me cos i moved to Brighton from Slough about 10 years ago, but still can't kick the habit. Went to see Burgess Hill v Sittingbourne in FA Trophy on Saturday and although it was a good game it just ain't the same....

is that a 'snadwhich' Gary or a 'butty' you were refering to...

i suppose if you live in australia it would be about 18 hours...or indeed if you live in Stortford it could be 10 minutes...

it genuinely does only take me about 80 minutes from Slough to BS....but then again....

I've had me hair cut so I go faster now.......

What a surprise.... Let's be honest, how many of the supporters which still go along have any faith in the man? I might be pinning all my hope into the trust, but I honestly believe that is our way out right now unless Deaner can prove us all wrong and actually do things by the book for a change and actually do things right.

Let's not hold our breaths eh?
