Bedfont Sports ?????

I have recently had the misfortune of being present at a game played by this team and can honestly say that I have never before seen a team so badly behaved, so unsportsman-like, so miserable, so foul-mouthed and so proficient at being bad losers! They are a disgrace to the League. It is unfortunate that they are mid-table and shall probably be around again next season!

thanks for that. Bad losers? I dont think we are if im honest but appreciate your opinion. Miserable, cant see how you can say that when you probably dont know any of our players. Opinion appreciated. Also, please clarify where we are 'unsportsman-like)

In all fairness, no one from our club comes on here to bad mouth another club. Thanks for taking time to write about us though.

Now here is a post that highlights for me what a lot of people do on here. And that is make a lot over 1 game. Be it a club, team, player or official we make a huge assumption that the one experience we have is how they are all the time. I reckon in the huge majority of times they are not.

I agree with 90% of that Kroons but I stand by my 10% that referee Martin Allen is not capable of running a bath, let alone running 90 minutes of football as a referee.

The match report from the Frimley Green website sums it up quite nicely... 10 yellows and 2 reds and not a bad tackle in the game. Mr Allen even tried to book a supporter which is not in the rules is it ?? The guy is a total idiot and I see there are a couple more testimonials to that effect on my post.about him. I would love to hear how many others have suffered at the hands of this bumbling oaf and his sidekick linesman ??

We do have a few mouthy players, myself included, but also happen to believe most teams also do.

We always shake hands with the other team win draw or lose, we are gracious in defeat and when we win. We are always in the bar after a game regardless of whats happened on a pitch and 9 times out of ten, leave it there. We also never slag off any club. As for miserable, if you were to walk in our changing room at any point, very rare will you see any player miserable. Even unused subs still have a laugh.

"Mouthy" I can put up with... foul-mouthed is unacceptable. My young niece actually asked me what the work f**k meant having heard it from one of your players very loudly about 3 metres in front of us. It was also clearly evident that your players left the pitch with only one of them shaking hands with the officials - very different to your opponents. You did lose the game but win, lose or draw you should shake their hands.

In all fairness Fman, there isn't a single club out there where you won't hear the occasional swear word and I can think of far worse teams than Bedfont Sports.

On the three times we have played them this season, they were completely sporting, and on the last occasion when we won right at the end, I didn't see any lack of handshakes either.

That newby marvel's a bit dodgy though :

Fair enough FMan. However, you go to any game up and down the country and people will swear. Whether it be players or spectators.

As for the officials, i agree we should have shook hands with them, we were wrong there, no excuses. Shook hands with every one of your players and coaching staff and congratulated on their win. To me personally, maybe i am wrong, but thats more important.

Premiership or wherever you watch footy you are going to hear swearing??? It's always been there and always will be!! Okay you might not hear Rooney direct but Jeff 10 seats down will certainly let you know what he thinks about something in the game at some point.

If I took my young niece to a game I'd certainly think there was a chance a bit of blue might be heard. Not saying it's right, just saying it happens everywhere. I've apologised a few times to supporters, not only for the language but my mistake that lead to it :D Swearing is no different at any level, just a few more happy clappy fans drowning it out.

Anyhow was normally Turners old man that terrorised me ;)

Cheers fred ;)

You hear swearing at every ground its not right but it happens ! Were definetly not bad losers we hate losing like every team does i look after my team an try to hold them in a good manner before, during an after . Apologies if your niece was present an heard any swear words but are you telling me the opposition werent swearing how could you tell who it was just out of interest? Ive missed the last couple as been unwell so curious.

Weve had more positive comments about us since we got promoted even myself who has a chequered past but were learning are a young side an a bit naive but we'll get there

Whilst Newby loves a whinge at refs [LOL] I must say in the two games we've won against Bedfont this season there was no nastiness in any way from their players/management and they took both defeats in a good manner. You'll never stop swearing in the game and it is sometimes embarrassing when you're trying to attract more families to watch your games but we just have to deal with it the best we can and of course if it's constant and loud the match officials do have the power to deal with it !

I found Bedfont Sports an ok bunch the only Bedfont Sports person with a foul gob on him was the little fat guy in the dug out dont know if he was the coach or manager and a few of there supporters on the club house side were a bit gobby think they were also Chelsea supporters so that was to be expected
