michael
It looks like hornchurch and billericay will be relegated Thats really boring. Boring places Its essex-where we do poorly and frankly they are tough places to go to get points. does it also show how the bss has progressed-a difficult league t survive in these days-and i much as i hate losing, and am as disappointe as everyone else how we have falen away at the end of the season-medium term we are probably better off not getting promoted this season-you need everything ready to survive in bss

MONEY. I apologised to Bilericay for my post and in hindsight was a little early with my doom and gloom post but have to say to progress (and BSS is just a stepping stone IMO) you have to have the infrastructure and funds to bring in talented and gifted "young" players" to continue as when you as a team are in the mix for Conf football which is a FULL time team the guys that we have and in that vein Billericay have are not going to cut the cloth in the interim of BSS. Solution is dont go up until you can afford it.... Whitehawk can and will probably do well but when they dont make it out of BSS on ther first or second attempt mr Moneybags will find something else to spend his fortune on. Sad indictment to the game of football but money talks.................

dflman
Hornchurch was in Essex for hundreds of years until 1965 so is still considered by many to be an Essex place. Over here BBC Radio Kent think Charlton is in Kent which it hasn't been since 1855.
michael
Billericay already my favourites for promotion (with Hornchurch if they come down). Both clubs who know what it takes to get out of this league-which is simply big brutes and bully your way out. Not pretty-but it gets results and 'gets you out of here'. I wonder what style SOHO will adopt for next season. I suspect the nice football stuff-but is that efficient and will it get you out of the league ? No doubt i am in a minority but personally-i'd like to see some 6'4'' bullies signed up-
Coffin Ender
Next season's league looks like it will be strong. Coming up, I expect Dulwich to do well. Grays will be no pushovers either.
BlueGate Alan
I would put Joe Vines in the "hard man" category.
cup of tea
Level of football at BSS is quite a bit higher than Ryman Premier level. Trouble is that you have larger clubs already in debt that won't cut back on spending on players making it difficult for newer clubs with more limited budgets to compete. Think it might take a little while for us and Billericay to adjust back to Ryman Premier level, there may be a few players in and out before we both get settled. Coffin Ender
Oh, hang on, looks like Farnborough will go into admin today. Reported debts of £2m. Might not be playing Hornchurch after all...
Eastside Urchin
I said all along I wouldn't really want to be reprieved if it was because a club goes bust but Farnborough take the p1ss,that's about 4 times now, they should be booted out the leagues and made to start at county level
Blackz
Apologies if this is a stupid question, but what happens if Hornchurch are reprieved? Farnborough to come down in their place?
Coffin Ender
If Farnborough go bust they vanish and reform in some county league. Hornchurch stay in Conf South and one less team is relegated from the Ryman Premier.

Coffin Ender
Our defence is basically sound. 49 goals in 41 games isn't bad. The problem is the 'ball players' not providing enough good crosses. Tippy-tappy BS won't get you very far at East Thurrock on a Tuesday night.

Eastside Urchin
I think farnborough will just take the points next season and stay in bss To be honest, can't understand how a club that's over 2 million in debt at non league level can get away with a 10 point fine
