is anyone else as excited as me about the arrest of 'paedophille' Rolf Harris this morning,after missing out on the chance of seeing Saville in court i feel that Rolf could be a suitable 'fall guy'. Obviously i recognise that hes probably just a kindly 83 year old grandfather whos never hurt a child in his live but thats hardly the point is it.the tabloid press and its readers demand a celebrity trial and i feel they should certainly get one and surely the best way to make amends for the guilty getting away with crimes in the seventies is to arrest innocent people now,come on British Law and Order give us our pound of flesh !!!

Having met the 'Gentleman in question' twice, I'm now convinced that certain people are using the Savile incidents to try and jump on the band-wagon just to get their five minutes of fame, and possibly a few pieces of silver.

 

If the famous Ozzie is even slightly guilty of such an offence, (which I very seriously doubt), then I bet three quarters of the media people must be as well !

oh please 'guilty of such an offence' can we not get bogged down in technical,legal jargon,the tabliod press and its readers are foaming at the mouth about Saville getting away with his crimes although of course he was never proven guilty in a court of law of any offence but at least he was found guilty by the media, surely your not suggesting that people are ruining the life and reputation of a 83 year old to make a few quid? now i can easily believe that everyone involved in show business rapes young children but your claim is going too far.

As no facts have been released about the latest allegations its probably inappropriate to comment either way. Have to say though I was shocked that Rolf Harris was mentioned and hope its all been a terrible mistake.

missunderstood, you really need to take those blinkers off. You know since I've said many times that I am not only a socialist but also a working life long union member and supporter and that Miss Harman has questionable opinions and statements made about the issue that cannot be written off as merely Labour Hating although some posters will always use politics as an excuse to make an issue like this about party politics and ignoring the facts is every bit as bad as the catholic church attempting to hide some of its activities regarding the same.

Regardless of party colours, I would have thought that Harriet Harman would have been a prime candidate to be interviewed by police as part of Operation Yewtree.

 

There is absolutely no place in society for paedophiles or their sympathisers, regardless of their party colours.

I would be surprised if she hasn't spoke to the police at some stage, and I agree there is no place for paedophiles or their sympathisers. Its also probably fair to say many of us have worked for organisation that are far from squeaky clean, but if you have kids and mortgages to support we have all had to dance the devil sometimes.
