But pitch is OK on a weekend? Pitch is not that utilisied midweek. Found enough flight availability for weekends, even hosting four teams in four days. One team made enough fuss about playing on a Sunday.

 

The point I'm making HKP is that yes they may moan on here, but no Club has refused to play GFC midweek - they have just followed, as you have, fixtures handed to them by the League, over which they have no influence. At a time when midweek fixtures may have been a sensible option, your pitch became unplayable or the airport was fogbound / closed for repairs plus you had that wonderful FA Vase run. It is narrow-minded to accuse all English based teams of not showing the same commitment to fulfilling their fixtures.

The airport was only closed for the odd day, can't use that really.

 

I am not so sure about clubs refusing, no fixtures were issued midweek in Guernsey, would need to ask the League why not. Despite the League saying earlier in the season that midweek matches would be required IF the backlog got to the point that there was not viable alternative. The current situation is not fair on anyone, especially the players who have no control over the situation.
