Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me coming on to your messageboard, i am the joint manager at Godalming.

Firstly unlucky yesterday, thought your lads gave everything with 9 men, and we couldn't quite finish them off, Tuesdays game I am sure will be very different.

The reason I am coming on, is one of our players Michael Blount got a serious injury on Monday against Thatcham Town.

Now you might have seen him hobbling around on crutches yesterday, well he had an MRI scan yesterday morning which the players clubbed together for, and he got his results last night, and the news was he has ruptured his anterior cruciate and medial ligaments.

For anyone that knows this means he will probably spend the next year on the sidelines.

Unfortunately he does not have private health care, so we are looking to try and get this operation done privately so that he does not have to wait on the NHS waiting list for 6 months.

Our players have already pledged a weeks money to this, and we will be running a bucket at the game on Tuesday night, so anything you can pledge would be greatly received, (I know he is not one of your players but non league clubs do tend to stick together, and I know you have some real decent people at your club)

Anyway best of luck for the rest of the season (with the exception on Tuesday night ;-) )

I was having a chat with him during the warm up and he is a really nice guy. I'll definitely put something in the bucket for you, and wish him lots of luck for the op and a speedy recovery

Ouch did that exact injury twice and lost 3/4 of a season each time. Happy to donate to that!

Think he smiled even more when I went into one about the black dustbin in my shop !!
