Think you are correct - bookings stand, nothing else including goals count.

,and were told a AM inspection,we started phoning all morning numerous numbers from handbook could not get hold of any dfc officials, salv got hold of the sec at 12.3o

Might haver been worth posting on here or pm'ing BigJR.

RIGHT - This is the series of events from MY point of view.

I was contacted from the ground just before mid-day to say it was probably 50/50, and then again approximately 45 minutes later.

I was informed that the two referee's assistants had arrived and done a basic pitch inspection and advised the match referee by phone, that the game must be considered in seriously in doubt. The referee told them that he would arrive a.s.a.p and do a pitch inspection himself.

I arrived at the ground around 1:45, and tallked to both the referee's assistants, AND the match referee assessor. I was also told the match referee was travelling to Dorking by train and was going to be picked up from the railway station.

I don't know exactly what time he arrived as I was checking through the team sheets, but it was not before 2:30

I was then informed that the match referee, after his inspection, had decided on a 3:15 kick-off. HIS DECISION, for whatever reason he thought fit.

I have no idea how many players Sandhurst had ready to start the match at the normal 3:15 kick-off time.

The game, in fact kicked off at 3:18.

Towards the end of the 1st half the level of rain falling increased dramatically.

A 15 minute half-time break was taken with the 2nd half starting a 4:18. The rain did NOT abate and in fact, increased even more.

The referee abandoned the match on 70 minutes. (Confirmed personally to me by the referee's assessor.)

just been told some unbeliavable news if true all the bookings from game V dorking count!!!can any refs confirm this please

Yes - I've been the victim of this in the past. Although teh game is null and void and for eg goals scored don't count towards topscorer awards, somehow bookings etc continue to do so.

I understand that you are right yellow red cards stand. If a player was eligible on Saturday and nowasuspension has kicked in he can't play in the replayed game either.

Likewise if a player was suspended on Saturday the abandoned game does not count as part of he suspension.

Hope the Assessor marked this individual Referee, with the lowest Mark possible.Hope the Refs Sec. bans him for 3 games as punishment for being late on duty, and allowing a late K.O.The annoying thing is that he was paid at all,Winners=Officials,Assessor,County FA's,losers both Clubs, and the image of the CCL.

I should let this go !!!!!!!!!!!!!! but the nonsense posted supposedly based on facts is a farce. Looking at the latest posts from those " representing " both Dorking and Sandhurst there still seems uncertainty relating to the events of Saturday when there need be no confusion as to what actually happened whether you favour a replay , Dorking or Sandhurst as I know what went on . Speculative comments are misplaced on both sides and well and truly all those on the edge of proceedings who seem to want to suggest they are in the know actually werent there at all or want to come across as in the know or more knowldgeable than they actually are in this particular thread. And they are using the tried and tested logic of not letting the facts get in the way of a good story. The facts are that , at 10 am or 10 30 am if you prefer, the officials of Dorking FC that were trying to be contacted supposedly by the Sandhurst management team , officials or whoever you care to mention , were working tirelessly on the pitch to try and get the game on . This presumably should be applauded rather than in some way criticised in favour of " just calling the game off " as surely that is what every club should be trying to do . Do you need to know that a game is off that early ? Should you not be preparing to play rather than not especially this early in the day ? Should you not want the game on rather than off ? At 12 15 and in the absence of the match referee an assistant was asked to inspect the pitch and stated that the game was playable subject to further work and in the hope that the weather did not deteriorate significantly. More work was done and both sides were notified that the game was potentially ON at 12 30. Is that too late ? Should everybody be ok to get there to start at 3 or not ? Presumably only a problem if a team has gambled on whether the game would go ahead. At 2 15 and at the ground and with suggestions of the away team being "screwed over " based on overheard comments and whilst awaiting the arrival of the referee several telephone calls were heard being made to players to hurry to the ground as the game was on. At 2 30 and with the referee now present it was again overheard that Sandhurst had insufficient players present to start the game and as I understand a delay to the kick off was requested as a result. The teamsheets were requested to be submitted by 2 45 and it was agreed then that the game would start at 3 15 to allow for the away team players to arrive and no later. it started at some time around 5 minutes after the scheduled time and the rest as they say is history. On to Thursday and the important business of a game of football that's important to both sides , sorry for the rant but I can't help myself when people large it about facts when they haven't got a clue.

The Referee should report himself as being late.

No probs, but I will say that I DID receive PM's on Saturday morning from another poster, so I suggest you may have a problem with the site administration.

Just for the record, I haven't blocked YOU, or ANY OTHER poster on Fans Focus !
