Looks like that's that for this season.

Elsewhere:

Amazing win for Carshalton at Lowestoft today, but Wingate win. At the moment looks like CA and Lewes going down.

East Thurrock unstoppable at the moment. Nobody would want them in the play-offs.

Concord had free entry this afternoon, still only got 180.

Oh, and Maidstone lost and Dulwich won, setting up an all-Kent play-offs in the South.

over 2000 at Maidstone to see them get beaten by Faversham 2-1 and to see the Ex Margate man Hockton get the winner. One thinks we should still have Hockton and Maidstone who have everything in place new ground the finances have lost out on the title .They must be feeling more upset then us at this time.

We have one of the windiest grounds in the country but we never seem to learn how to play in it. Why do we not play it on the ground in those conditions? Mind you, why don't we play it on the ground all the time. I thought for the first 10 minutes today we did that and we looked ok. Then HOOF HOOF HOOF! The difference from three weeks ago when we looked unbeatable, was that we played FOOTBALL. Nil points from 12 since. Holloway and Osborne were announced as joint managers, because they were bringing more positive football to the club. What on earth has gone wrong. 381 there today, which if we had got even a couple of results over the last couple of weeks, would probably have been nearer 500 plus.

While I'm on a roll why is it that our players never go and retrieve the ball if it has gone behind the oppositions goal when we are losing. They just walk away with the ball over near the corner flag allowing the keeper to stroll in his own time. There is no urgency with the players. They should be running to retrieve these balls quickly.

Three and a half hours travelling for each home match for me, I really don't know whether I can be bothered again this season.

Rant over, for now

I see Don hasn't posted the photos on here yet. I bit pointless I suppose, 32 pictures of a ball high up in the air.

Give us a bleeding chance. Had to wait for Bealesy to finish doing his hair!

You will not find players capable of playing a passing game successfully at this level. Anyone who can is going to be plying their trade at a higher level (unless you offer them huge wages). You can win games against weak oppo playing that way but well organised Ryman teams will snuff you out. The only way to get promoted at this level is to play long ball...but that means long ball with players who suit the system.

In any case, I think it hasn't been a bad season at all. Last season we were 15th, and we will probably finish 7th or 8th this time. That is progress. This is despite setbacks such as losing our sponsor, the greatest manager in our history and injuries to key players at the business end of the season.

I couldnt face it neeteretep! Had a feeling they would continue in the same form!

While i think the football HAD improved, cant help thinking was it a mistake to hand the job to CH & SO before the official season had finished?

Where is Rhodes working! Australia?

With the "so called" big names we have had this season our only direction should have been up. After todays performance if any of the so called "big names" are given contracts the only place we will be heading to is court................ to file for bankruptcy for paying ludicrous wages to wannabees who are ripping the crap out of the MFC board for being overly generous. So so peed off with the average performance today in front of an average crowd that next week will be ..... 100+ if they are lucky..............................

thought CK had returned today with the way the ball was played around the park. Really don't know what has happened since the Cray game.....run out of steam? to many new players brought in to cover injuries? Today's performance felt like a mid table clash, nothing to play for sort of game, just going through the motions till the end of the season......real real shame!!!!!

I was at Cray and thought to myself that we were pretty average to only get 4 against a team with no keeper on the park and one of those was a save by the temp keeper which was unlucky enough to rebound off their defender - we could have got maybe 8 with some application. Today has only one word to describe it - RUBBISH. You can make all the excuses you like about too many games when Murphy has only been on the pitch for a short while in a couple of them and Georgie Purcell hardly any time at all but if you want to do well you will do well - just how old is the Met Police Number 3 (he was here last year with Tooting & Mitcham) and he was planting balls into the channel time after time that their men were running on to. Their winner was a good example of just how poor we are at defending these days. Tommy W tried hard and Bodkin covered a lot of the pitch as usual.

Agree with most of the above apart from the fact we put in some effort. Roll on next season cos this one is over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
