billericayboy28
Thought we had a good first half, with osborn hitting the post.. but as soon as they equilised our heads went down, scriven off made matters worse... And i personally think taking Poole off was the wrong decision. It's the first time I've seen us play with a lack of desire in a while, still remaining optimistic about survival but these are the games we have to take 3 points from
Barry Proudfoot
Once again 2 errors cost us. And a little of bad luck really. But ultimately we only have ourselves to blame for poor defending. Their 2nd goal, they blocked a clearence which couldve gone anywhere, yet it falls straight to their striker and hes through one on one with the keeper. Their number 6 was extremely lucky not have been shown a red, for what looked like an elbow in the face of Osborn when he was also last man. The refs decision on that one was a strange one, if he saw it, (which he quite clearly did as he gave a yellow card and a free kick) it was a red, if not for the elbow then for being last man. Players and us supporters have got to lift themselves / ourselves now and not give up. WE have 5 games left and every one of them is winnable, lets get behind the team, it could make the difference you never know. I know the result went against us last night, but are we really going to give up when a win on saturday will take us to within 1 point (yes 1 point!!!) of safety. Come on! lets be 'avin' you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
jl
It's very difficult for us now but while there's life there's hope. The reality is though we are making the same mistakes time after time. Conceding early away from home, letting in late goals and not being able to keep a lead for more than a few minutes. Our ten men stuck at it gamely on Tuesday but it's much easier to lose than it is to win. One positive is that Craig must have a pretty good idea of the players we want to try and keep next season regardless of where we are playing. Let's hope we can spring a surprise on Saturday and give ourselves a glimmer going forward. COYB!!
