Best side we have played so far, had a guy up front who was very good and lightning fast, good facilities and would hold there own in the CCL with a couple of additions if they got promoted, I'm not sure if they have applied.

Three times Ash had to level this game but in the end the weather won as the referee abandoned the game before extra time as there was more water than grass

Seemed a strange decision all the same though AU because the rain didn't let up at all for the full 00,looking at the weather forecast for the next few games I would not be surprised if a lot of games are called off at the weekend.

Why would that be strange?

 

It's not rocket science. The fact that the rain didn't let up for the entire game is why the pitch got worse and worse, and, in the opinion of the ref (and it seems not disputed by aupostie) unplayable after 90 mins.

 

Playable at the start as the rain came in. Playable at half time. Getting worse in the 2nd half. Puddles forming. Carried on getting worse, water laying all over the pitch at full time...

 

The fact that 90 mins had been played on it is irrelevant at that point.
