Biggleswade

I'm afraid we've become a soft touch to score against.

At the moment any ball, good or bad, that comes into our area doesn't get dealt with properly and leads to a goal.

Unfortunately for us we have forwards that couldn't hit a barn door at the moment.

On a positive note I thought Adam Martin and Ashley Deeney were excellent last night.

Two mistakes cost us the game and mistakes which could be attributed to fatigue quite easily.

We played the better football and really gave a good account of ourselves last night imo.....we dug in and showed a bit of desire. Adam Martin was superb as was Ash Deeney and Parsons. Warro also made a couple of decent saves second half.

Danny Burnell again ran his socks off but the problem for me is I have no confidence in our front two scoring at the moment. A month back and we would have scored 4. We do not seem sharp getting to the ball first.......fatigue maybe?

Personally I thought Biggleswade were just an OK team, nothing to write home about and didn't have to do anything out of the ordinary to score their 2 goals.

On the point of fatigue, a ball that's crossed into our penalty area/6 yard box and not attacked by a defending player and hence not cleared IMO is not fatigue, just poor defending.

I don't think Ryan O'Toole has played enough games to be fatigued.

I have a theory on Danny Burnell, which maybe completely wide of the mark, but doesn't training for a Marathon require long distance/stamina training and at a time when we are playing so many games and legs are already tired, perhaps he's done too much and it's taken that bit sharpness out of his legs that a striker needs to give him the edge.
