Savagebee
I think much will depend on whether their pitch finally gets sorted Karen. Scheduling is one thing, getting them played though will need a pitch that drains and isn't spoilt too much by egg-chasers playing a few days beforehand. Ironically the pitch now looks too dry and isn't helping their game - they could do with a bit of rain to dampen it down Rain has arrived, and will indeed help. Next season the pitch will be better as we have a plan for maintaining the drainage, so it should be much better than this season regardless of the weather. I think fixtures will be dictated by weather, but hope that if midweek matches are needed, they wont all be scheduled for GFC to be the travelling team. I would have thought the Guernsey FC pitch would have been one if not the best pitch in CCL with all the £ they must have to spend on it ? Also could they not just build another ground just for the rugby ? Also i wonder how many CCL clubs want Guernsey FC to go up to make sure this fixture back log definitely doesnt happen again next season ? What league would Guernsey FC prefer to play in ? HKP
Guernsey FC do not own the pitch, so anything spent on it needs to come from the owners of Footes Lane. Why should the Rugby Club move, they and the Athletics were there first.
