Sutton United 3 v Blues 0

Recommended Posts

Cracking photo lol.

Not the best day on the road for the blues. We looked a team well and truly ready for the drop, which was so disappointing following the great performances of last weekend. Maybe that last gasp goal against us on Easter Monday has knocked the stuffing out of us finally, I think thats how many of us saw it in the terraces.

Going to be very tough for craig to get the boys going for Tuesday, but that is what he is paid to do so let's hope he succeeds. We are by no means down but points won't be coming our way if we play like that again in our remaining games.

Anyway long day and night, over and out!

Not really putting too much hope on Tuesday night. If we win, all fine and good but looking at the amount of games left and who they are against, really... Talk of we need xx points to stay up is all conjecture now in my opinion. We looked dispirited, lost and like a team broken yesterday.

I don't blame Craig and his merry men... I think the issues go further and deeper and have effected the whole club this season. We had similar three seasons ago before Craig joined. Then, that our opponents were poor as well, hid many of our failings... Now however, the step in a higher league is showing. Unforgiving when mistakes are made and maybe a lite more demanding than we were prepared for, our performance from now until the end of the season is going to have to be exceptional and so far above our average performance that I can't see us surviving...

... Although if we do, then I will stand corrected salute the effort... But that won't cure the main issues with the club.

All Credit to Craig and indeed his merry men (of last season). As i've said in the past Craig promised the supporters he would improve our position when he took over and thus far he has been true to his word.

We were all over the moon last season coming out of the Ryman league after so many years. Okay some of that team were let go because they were deemed not good enough for this level but they did have heart and spirit and that seems to be lacking of late.

The players we have got in have come from leagues either well below us or at ryman level, Hoping they are good enough is to big a risk to take considering where we have spent most of this season.

I take my hat off to Wildy & Ozzy yesterday for applauding us supporters after the game,

I for one still believe Craig Edwards & Bronco have not let us down. But the lad's need to EARN their wages for the remaining few games I feel they owe the home & traveling supporters at least that

Disappointing effort yesterday after the mini revival over Easter. Never really looked liked getting anything out of the game and the second half was particularly depressing.

Mathematically its not over but the fat lady has cleared her throat and is about to go on stage.

thought that changing the centre back pairing of Blaine and Wildy didn't help us out yesterday, they looked like that had formed a good partnership, although the injury to Rogers probably forced our hand somewhat.

A Win on Tuesday and it's still all to play for. take it down to the last game of the season and who knows. What we can't do is let our heads drop, if we do that we might aswell give up now.

But its far from over, We will stay up!

The league is so tight that teams will crack under the pressure, we have a massive advantage with the number of home games we have. I don't beleieve any team will look at their visit to New Lodge as a 3 points given. They won't want to come here, we are as good as any team on our day, and at New Lodge and we can beat anyone at home.

Rob Swain will score, Junior has blistering pace, Alex and Jay have goals in them. Pooley will lead. Collis can deliver with pin point acuracy, Sam has been there done it, Widy will never give in, Nathan is quality. Blaine can comfotably deal with this level. Omar is great at breaking up play.

And.....the sun is now shining

We can't afford to have 4 centre-halves on the pitch again. Wild/Hudson with Rodgers at right-back, if not Collis, if not (from the successful?) Under 18s. Don't know what's gone on with Semakula but he should partner Poole in the middle. Junior on the right, Lechmere on the left. Get the ball down and out wide and get the crosses in. We're probably looking at 4 wins from the last 6 games and given we've won just 3 in the last 22, it's a tall order. But, we're still alive and kicking and anything is still possible.
