The REBEL REBELLION (Aintree 415) petered out.

When the horse was interviewed after the race - he said he got off to a bad start but made up some ground in the middle section but could n't catch the others at the end as there was too much ground to make up. He also said the conditions did n't suit his style as the ground was a bit bobbly and the jockey was too heavy. Also being the favourite put a lot of pressure on him before the race even started. He will be running at one his favourite tracks this Saturday (Royston) and promised his supporters a better performance.

Have to say I was upset and angry after last nights game. Martin the only player who showed any passion, with the exception of logie when he came on. Anthony had his poorest game for us and to my mind shouldn't be playing centre back as he takes too many risks in that position. Would agree about o'toole who looks good but sometimes a little lightweight. Parsons had his poorest game for a while and burgess and Deeney were non existent. Thought Chandiram did ok but he wouldn't be in my starting 11; more of a trier than a doer IMO. Finally, I won't name him as I've been told off for that before, but there's one player who, after his attitude on and off the pitch last night, I personally would be happy not to see pull on a slough shirt again. Thinks he's better than he is and his performances have been poor pretty much since his main competition left.
