Hampton & Richmond v Enfield Town

Recommended Posts

Ended 4 - 2 loss.

Not a good performance.

Gave the ball away again and again and again throughout.

Over to you EU.

Thank's for the build up OT.

What do you expect me to say...........................Other than..................................

First and foremost it was our 4th game in 9 days with our small squad. in the four games we have won 2 (50%) with one defeat being in the dying moments of a game we should have won, thats football.

So all in all, last night epitomised our season to date, good in patches, need better players in midfield, we can concede goals and score them too. We have evidently struggled in certain games against the Top 6-8, with the odd point of 3 coming at Lowestoft and Canvey just to mention 2.

However tomorrow's game v Harrow Borough is a game we rightly seek to expect a good performance from our team. Whether we win or not is down to taking chances and defending well when called upon. Ball possession has been a thorn in our side this season and i'm sure if we've noticed it then so have the decision makers.

Tomorrow's game will now be 5th game in 11 days so our players may be somewhat weary, as were Concord and Lowestoft last night both dropping unexpected points leaving Whitehalk on their backs in fit's of laughter no doubt.

A win tomorrow and it will be one of the most successful 11 days in our history.

Re missing players for last nights game , Lee Allen working , Lee White work commitment , Jay Siva skiing all week with his school, Walid hamstring , Bardle calf and Bryan work commitments . Steve will have both Lee,s and Bryan available for Saturday at Harrow Boro. Possibly Bardle but as I understand that is only 50/50. Good that after our fifth game in 10 days coming up this weekend we will have a weeks break where the players can recharge their batteries. The run of games has come at a time where we have picked up injuries, suffered illness within the squad and had players unavailable for a few reasons , so Steve being able rotate the squad hasn't been as easy as he would have liked I'm sure. Nonetheless 6 points from 4 so far ain't too bad and until last night the performances in the other 3 at least merited those points , can we raise our game again tomorrow against a team who are performing well and getting good results at home , lets hope so !!!

Another example of a club overstretching itself. But 2,000 people through the front gate would be wonderful at Donkey Lane.

To put the record straight, visits by AFC to Beveree used to bring a full house of 3,500 and HRBFC's average gate in BS South was around the 700 to 800 mark. There was no "overstretching" involved, just good management on a low budget.

Good point. If you asked anyone if we could take 9 points from the next 15 before the kick off against Kingstonian we would have fast forwarded to 5 pm tomorrow. The previous 4 games have all been against teams higher in the league.

One game to go, hopefully some 'rested' players back. Defend as a team and keep concentrating. Don't let them switch off Kirby.
