EU.

YOU seem to of gone off on one.

Read my first post on the game - "a game of 2 halves" !

Hope your right regarding today's prediction.

I believe Leiston will be difficult opponents - we will see.

3 points will hit "my" prediction of what we require to stay in the Prem next season.

Here's hoping.

Happy days.

Not 'gone off on one' but just gone off i think.

Must warn everyone though my predictions have a pretty poor record, got to be right sometime.

At the end of the day, we are all paying supporters who want ETFC to prosper, but sometimes our expectations are ahead of where we currently are as a club.

EU. I take it you were not around in our formative years when we won cups and leagues under Jim Chandler? Success? Depends on what criteria you use for considering what success is.

Any Cup Wins are welcome of course, but in reality I don't give two hoots about Middx Cup, league Cup, Charity Cup etc etc which is what Jim's teams won and to be honest ESL is a league we needed to get out of for our sanity.

Success is when we are at Step 3 of the Non League Ladder as a minimum level, within budget, set yourself lower than that and be happy with 'winning' minor cups is setting your sights too low.

As Jim C states being Ryman Prem and in the Trophy is success and we should be seeking to move onwards and upwards in a steady manner.

Without the work done in the seasons after 2001, we would not be where we are today. If people were to ask the majority of supporters, players, youth team players, etc., would they rather win cups or nothing at all, then I am sure they would rather choose the former.

No one can take away those league wins and cup winning performances. They are part of our short history and here's hoping there are more successes to follow.
