We just have to keep going and as long as we pick up 1 or 3 points from our games left, we still have a chance, the league title race isn't over yet by a long shot!

 

12 games to go and 36 points to play for, I think we've got the ability to still win the league but fatigue could be a huge factor, feel we need 27 points at least to stand any chance, but if it's the play offs it's play offs.

 

If we pick up 10-12 points from the Leighton, Burnham, Northwood and Royston games, it's ON!!

Have to agree with your point reading rebel on jacko

 

Even the best keeper make the odd error and jacko has always been solid for us when called upon.

 

To put it in perspective I believe jacko last poor show I watched was against burnham in the 2010-11 season.

 

Quality keeper and hope he keeps his head up and continues to prove his worth when called upon

I think so. I remember he made a few howlers and although didn't lead to a goal as their goal that night was a swifty free kick its the last time I remember jacko making a mistake.

That was 09-10, Burnham were down to 10 men for 75 minutes if memory serves me correct! Thinking about it now, think Perks was in goal again that night.

was always going to be tough after the huge effort we showed on tuesday and on a difficult pitch we battled pretty well but so so frustrating that we didn't take advantage of more of the chances we created although they were limited.

Slag the players off or be negative all the time about them? That happens behind closed doors, if Bateman said it in the press continually the players would leave or be unmotivated, it effects harmony!

Rugby. Loss

Biggleswade. Win

Royston. Win

 

Do I need to mention the fa cup too

 

We can beat good sides and need to remain positive. We will drop points with such a hectic schedule whether that be at Barton or at burnham. Point is as long as we get enough points to be in the top 5 we will stand a chance of going up.

3spirit, I would assume you wasn't there last night because apart from the goal, which was a tap in, Logies performance and control of the ball last night was abysmal.

 

Sorry to be harsh on Logie but it's the truth.

 

No, I never made the Barton game,Reading Rebel. Saw Adam Logie come on as sub against Biggleswade.Thought he looked rusty,carrying a few extra pounds and not match-fit but that's understandable,as he doesn't get any run of games.

 

Actually,he mystifies me,as to why he stays at Slough, as Steve Bateman clearly favours others and he would easily get regular game time with most teams in our league. He knows how to score,though,and has a powerful shot and was a revelation when he first joined 'the Rebels' from Wealdstone.

 

My observation was that we don't shoot often enough from outside the penalty area and get obsessed with wing play and crosses,when often we have great goal scoring opportunities,by taking a chance when we have sight of goal.Thus our manager fails to use Logie's attacking prowess and seems to ask him to play defensively,which to me is a waste of his abilities.

 

However,this is only a minor criticism,as I'm mostly happy with the football Slough try to play[before others have a go at me].

what you so dont understand is if a players is a regular and playing well he does not want to read in local paper about replacements coming in i am sure! Sorry cant get under my rock at the mo you're there lol !!!!!!
