Wellsie
Margate vs Ebbsfleet in the Kent Senior Cup OFF as Fleet now have a mid-week BSB trip to Barrow. www.margate-fc.com
BlueGate Alan
I thought these games took priority, hence the reason Dartford expelled for playing a league game instead?
blueblood
I agree with "Joseba", it is time the Kent cup became a preseason competition. It would in my view be understandable If "Ebbsfleet" pulled out, they have a league deadline day of the 20th of April to meet and, are themselves fighting for survival in the Conference National. I am afraid the Kent Senior Cup would be a low priority as far as I would be concerned.
margateshot
It has always been the rule that the cup takes priority over league matches.
marksandwell
But are there different priorities between each league eg BSS, Conference, Ryman plus does it also depend on what type of cup?
Coffin Ender
A couple of years ago the FA designated county cup ties as reserve fixtures for Conference National teams (I think this was so they couldn't be used to eat up suspensions). However, Ebbsfleet's academy are also playing on April 3 so they can't even send a kids team down on that date.
michael
I just love cups-any cup-so maybe we can win this one on default. Not that Ebbsfleet are necessarily out of it yet-maybe re-arranged. Like everyone else though-i thought the Kent FA competitions took precedent. (probably done margate a favour as well just the same if it is off. I love all this fixture conjestion stuff-it was fixture congestion for Dartford-yet MargaTE HAD MORE GAMES TO PLAY-AND NOEW ITS FIXTURE CONGESTION FOR eBBSFLLET-WHO just LIKE mARGATE HAVE GOT 9 GAMES TO PLAY !! (admittedly it takes a bit longer to get to Barrow than the Thanet Riviera )
