3spirit
Excellent win tonight. Thought Dave Deeney was outstanding and definitely MOM. Jake Parsons,Ryan O'Toole and Adam Martin put in great stints, too. Also Warro's heroics in goal, deserves a mention, given the penalty save and a couple of blinding stops that our custodian made. Biggleswade had the better of the first half, until our late goals before half-time, which certainly rattled them. The whole Slough side came out for the 2nd half, doggedly determined and quick out the blocks, which is something that doesn't always happen under Steve Bateman's watch. So well done management and players. Tonight we deserved the win, even though we rode our luck at times. Next up Barton.....

readingrebel
Terrific win against a physical Waders team that set it's stall out to close us down early which worked for most of the first half. Turning point was the two late first half goals which seamed to take the stuffing out of Biggleswade and we ended the half on top. Second half we were the better team culminating with an excellent goal from O'Toole and a penalty save from Warro. Well deserved win with an inspired and MOTM performance from Dave Deeney. A Rebel and a Saint
Once we got going we were the better team, as soon as we realised that we just had to hassle Biggleswade things turned our way. Their keeper had very little to do until he turned the ball into his own net from the corner and the way we got at them straight away afterwards to site the second goal was exactly what we needed to do. Excellent all round performance in the end, but we definitely shouldn't be making a habit of going behind to the top teams! Agree Dave Deeney had an excellent game, he was everywhere. We need a lot oh big performances in the next 5 weeks or so. COYR!
Windsor Rebel
Fantastic result last night, now only 6 points off fifth place with four games in hand. Wish I had gone now, the England game was not good but after going all the way to Rugby on Saturday and not seeing a game, I decided to give England a chance! Roll on Thursday. RebelsAndBlues
I agree WR, being 6 points of the play off place does make you feel more involved in the mix (compared to where we were a few weeks back). Still have a lot of work to do as (pains me to say) points will inevitably be dropped. Need a big win on Thursday to edge that bit closer.... Mark44
A fantastic win and with us being so close to the playoffs we have a realistic chance of being ahead of Royston by the time we play them which would mean a win there and we would start to cement our place in the top 5. It is then that we need to take stock of where we can realistically finish.......we could go and win our next 13 and win the league
Mr Rebel
after taking a while to get going we were absolutely superb for much of the rest of the match as the 1st half went on we suddenly united as a team and harrassed and overwhelmed Biggleswade resulting in a suckerpunch of 2 quick goals. suddenly we were seeing the fight, desire and spirit that we saw over and over in the FA cup run. heroic goalkeeping, players chucking themselves at shots, strikers and midfielders pressing high up the field. when we play like that we can beat pretty much anyone but im still a bit confused as to how we went from frustrating to amazing in the blink of an eye. everyone played a massive part and you could see how much the result and performance meant to the players and even Steve Bateman was getting animated as he reached the tunnel. if we can keep that sort of performance up no doubt we can go up still but its a big if unfortunately at times for us. focus and effort has to be there every game starting tomorrow if its on

Rebel yell
Good to see SB show a bit of emotion. He's usually quite po faced after a game. Shows how important last nights 3 pts were. Great 2nd half performance too. COYR!!!!!
Nathan
Apart from the first 20 minutes when we didn't get going and could easily have been 2-0 down, this was an excellent performance and a vital 3 points. Once the midfield got going, we showed just how much better we were, with 100% percent passion and determination to close Biggleswade down at every opportunity. It does make me sick about the recent performance at Daventry, where we went from being in total control to going down without even a whimper! Let's have more of these types of performances please!
