Smudge
Clubs helping out others,as in the case of Banstead and Feltham,by switching their game to the Orchard on Thursday.Maybe other Clubs should follow suit, else no way will this season be finished. VPCTFC
It's happening more than you may realise Smudge. Most of us just want to get games played and are offering to switch grounds, change dates at short notice etc. Not just first team games but ressies and under 18s as well. I won't single out any club as so many are trying their best. This is why I have little time for people slagging off clubs for not getting games played. Most of them are trying bloody hard. And as for the poor sods doing the fixtures for the various leagues - they all deserve a medal this season.
@BedfontFeltham
Well I must say what a mess. Banstead can now not make Thursday as they cannot field a side!!!! Heres our problem now, we have been able to field a side for all 3 games cancelled at Banstead. But several of our players have had to change work and college patterns for the last 2 midweek postponed games. If this game is rescheduled for a midweek again we will probably struggle to get a full strength squad out. Do we have a leg to stand on, probably not. Did we try and resolve this and get the game on, yes!! Do we hate the British weather, sure bloody!!

E&E Rich
I think it's very poor that any team can't raise a team on a Thursday right now. Almost all teams train that day and everyone knows that lots of games are being rearranged for Thursdays. I don't care whether its Easter, as we all have games over that time so if one or two players are going away, then they are presmably missing for the whole weekend and they'll have to play the other games so why not this one too? Clubs have to be available at fairly short notice right now and personally I think that Bedfont and Feltham are within their rights to claim the points. The game was scheduled, Banstead could not fulfil it. End of. I recall Horley getting some points at the expense of Badshot Lea last season when they couldn't raise a side and this to me seems very similar. Fred, although I can see where you're coming from I think that there are two important things to take into consideration:- 1) I understand that there is supposed to be a weeks notice given when assigning teams to matches. 2) I can totally that players may not be available for Thursday considering that it is the start of the Easter break and maybe people are trying to get away that evening for Good Friday in order to be back in time to pay Saturday / Monday. E&E Rich
Under normal circumstances I would agree mal, but this season hasn't been normal, and a lot of games pp'd on a Tuesday have been rescheduled for 48 hours later.
mal316
I am not saying games shouldn't be rearranged with a couple of days notice but I don't think anything can be enforced it the game wasn't arranged with a weeks notice.

no melts
If both teams agree to rearranging a game it doesn't matter what opinion you have.
