thecoldend
Below are the highlights of Saturday's 8-2 win for the Town Reserve side. Connor Bolton, who people have mentioned elsewhere, is number 7 and had a really decent game in testing conditions. Looks good going forward and tracking back with a good work-rate and also is fond of a shot on goal. Troy Archer got a couple and obviously has an eye for goal too with bags of pace. One criticism of his play is that sometimes when it was easier to play an easier ball he ran with it and got into trouble. Just my opinion of course but if he learns how to play it simple at times he could be a good prospect for the 1st team. Bolton, I think, will be a first team player in the future if he stays with us. If we are safe from relegation (hopefully!!!!) with a few games left I would throw him in at the deep end and stright in the side and see what happens. All in all a good game is the snow. Well done to both sides for playing and the ground staff for getting the game on. Club 1893 are third in the division and will be a little disapointed at losing and their display I think. The title is now on for our side if they keep winning. Four games left to play.
