Fixture Switch: Biggleswade (26/3)

Recommended Posts

Tomorrows fixture against Biggleswade is now being played at Holloways Park, swapping the venue from Biggleswade. Biggleswade will be providing their programme for tomorrow night.

This is now a Slough Town home fixture with the original home home fixture in April now switching to Biggleswade.

It seems a silly question but I would assume that someone from Slough/SYCOB has looked at the pitch over the weekend or today and seen that there is no snow on the pitch?

If so, the only danger to the match being played is what the freezing temperatures do to the pitch.

Our view is that some chance of playing here is better than no chance of playing there.

The pitch was fine today, who knows what tomorrow will bring, but I believe the forecast is promising.

If it doesn't work out, then at least we tried our best to get a game on.

Glad the game is on (well, as of now).

Out of curiosity, how does it work regarding gate money.

Programmes will be Biggleswades, so assume all profits go to them, will gate money be the same.

Just a shame the game falls on a night England are playing, may affect the gate :(

Programme is going to be ours, from the cancelled game, with an insert.

I'd assume we keep tonights gate money and Biggleswade get the gate money from the switched game on Saturday 9th April.

Least of two evils. We will lose out because it's a Tuesday with England on the telly and if you don't look at the web-site people may not know the game's on.

But better to get a game on tonight than not.

I know where I prefer to be tonight given the choice of freezing taking photos at a live game of football or getting bored silly in a warm house in front of England on the TV.

See you all later at HP

You make it sound so tempting HR, the game at HP I mean :)

Sod the England game, I'll be there supporting the boys!

Can always catch the best bits of the England game later on this evening when your de-frosting your outer extremities ;)
