For what is Guernseys biggest game in their short history,I am sure that there is someone amongst our Members, who will either be at the game, watching on GFCTV,who could give us live updates as the game progresses.Even I am getting pre-match nerves,so COME ON YOU GREEN LIONS.

1-1 at HT. Spennymoor's sub Richardson put them into a deserved lead after 34 mins, but a well worked short corner routine was tucked away a min before the break by Dom Heaume. Pitch very tricky and soft with a large sandy patch just outside the one area proving tricky for defenders and keeper. Spenny down that end 2nd half. They're a very decent side, and physical. Our lads regularly being knocked off the ball quite easily. Looked much more threatening last 5 mins though. COYGL!

Looks like Guernsey will win nothing this year ..... Hope I am wrong but I hope they win the vase but not the league... If they think step 5 is hard then god help them.....

FT Guernsey 1 Spennymoor 3 - from what I saw on GFCTV, Spennymoor just generally a stronger more physical side, and their defence was pretty strong, snuffing out any half-chances very quickly. Will be tough for Guernsey to come back from that, but good luck anyway next week.

In the other semi-final, Tunbridge Wells have apparently beaten Shildon 2-0 in the 1st leg.

Only difference between the 2 sides was experience. You could see the difference 10 years at this level and above makes. All the tricks, nudges, hilding, fouls at the right time and words in the refs ear.

Spenny deserved their win but give us a dry pitch, a bit if luck and the first goal up there and who knows. It's a huge ask but these kids believe.

I know they have allot of games to play but I wouldn't be surprised if they do still win the league.

Agreed, exactly what I said to my lad afterwards. Far too canny for us, but also fit, and clinical in punishing mistakes. Can't believe Sam doing that though, he will be gutted.

I'll be up there next week and will support the boys every second regardless.

"Canny" is the exact word for it. Didn't see what Cochers did but was clear from the reaction that he must have swung an arm.

Seemed to catch him with an eblow, but there was a foul first (not making excuses) and GFC won the free-kick. Player went down like he had been shot.

Guernsey can be proud of there achievements just a shame they pulled Spennymore out in the semis. Still if Zico and Mackay were there then you may of stood a chance Spennymore are the best step 5 side in the country

Not Darlington then?
