Wellsie
Margate have agreed to Wealdstone's request to switch kick off time for Tuesday's match at Hartsdown Park to 8.00pm. www.margate-fc.com. (Otherwise they'd have to leave 15 mins earlier!) (Unofficial comment.)
Coffin Ender
To be fair both Carshalton and Leiston were late for midweek games at Hartsdown this season so maybe 8pm kick offs will end up being a regular thing as the country's transport system becomes ever more overcrowded. Wellsie
Yes, but we're not! Well, once about 3 years ago.
Dutch_Mike
Can't understand why we've agreed to this. Who cares what they want? No room for sentiment in football. Make them turn up for normal kick-off time; if they're late, it's their own fault.
vic pain lives!
I agree with dm also the latter kick off will give people more time to get suckered in by an averagely important game on tv and not go to a massively important game at hartsdown park. dflman
On the other hand maybe people will turn up at usual time and spend a little bit at the catering/bar. That's what seemed to happen the last time the kick off was delayed
Porka
Wouldn't have granted their request, but on the positive side it provides time for an extra pint to lubricate the vocal chords.
Wellsie
Not something I would have agreed to either. My guess is that we will not do so in the future unless there are genuinely unique circumstances. ( Unofficial comment)
margateshot
Exactly Steve, I think the majority of our matches require us to travel around the M25!!
michael
Does it really matter ? As it is-i reckon 8 pm is a more sensiblr time for kick off in midweek matches anyway.
