Powelly what are you on about a cruise up!! Jim Ward and Luke Craig never missed a training session or game, all training sessions were excellently attended as Dave Freeman would no doubt agree.

There's a lot of posts about players that were at Knaphill when I was there doing what they like, although no facts to back it, please enlighten me.

They are and there just 3 players of a good squad Phillip had. Freeman hasn't got a clue.

I am sure he would happily step aside and allow you to do a better job 451

Ellers - no offence was meant. From the outside looking in it appears the players weren't putting everything in, as the record shows. There were clearly some talented players there - I was just saying I think they thought it was going to be easy in div 1 and they had their pants pulled down. Personally I don't think you should have been sacked then and the job was always going to be difficult for Kev at that stage - they've actually improved and steadily climbed the table. It's been about four seasons on the trot that they've rolled out that they're going to get promoted and four years where it's all gone wrong. The committee clearly work hard over there, but they're also clearly misguided. It's nothing new though - non league football is littered with clubs who rise very quickly and then fall to differing levels.

Haven't posted on here since last year but seen as my name is being spoken off I thought it was fair I spoke for my self and the other 2 mentioned. Firstly we all knew what the first division was all having played in it previously for feltham and bedfont sports! it was not for the lack of trying that we didn't start the season well. I think our pre season at knaphill was excellent and the results speak for themselves however we lost a very close opening game against eversley and if we had won that then who knows. I think everyone under estimates the strength of some of the teams in div 1 and as you all know there are plenty of players playing in div 1 who can easily player higher but choose not to for whatever reasons! Phil is a top bloke and I enjoyed playing for him as did the others boys who made the journey from hammersmith to knaphill 3 times a week, as commented we didn't miss a session and was committed to playing for the knaphill who have great people down there also. However sometimes it doesn't go your way and that's the way it goes I do think it would of come good but Dave the chairman made the decision to change and you must respect that. I have since moved to Egham who are a great club with great people and have ambition for the club to progress and hopefully they will be rewarded for all their hard work. I wish both phil and knaphill all the best and hope both gain success with their clubs in the near future.

Luke
