brighton_rebel
Absolutely spot on letter. Very useful facts as well for arguing our case.

HEAVY TRUCKER
just where do these people come from the one thing stoke poges has needed for years is a local school, they have never liked to be associated with the town just look at the hoo ha when they got a slough post code, so surely a school in their local community is just what the doctor ordered. GarySTFC
I don't understand the full logic or reasoning, but with a fair amount of south bucks children being bussed to Slough for schools, surely by putting schools in south bucks, this reduces the strain on slough, reduces traffic as more places available for local children whilst also serving the local needs. I also don't understand why a new school in Iver, with a lot of local support, was rejected recently. This again should help on some of the reasons above. There seems to be a lot of support for children to be bussed out of south bucks and into slough with free travel, but not so keen to put schools on their own doorstep to serve the needs of these children? All good reading though and some great points raised by SBC back to the DfE.
readingrebel
The people of Stoke Poges say a school is needed, just not on their doorstep. For the last 5 years, a lot of peoples time and money has been spent getting through the red tape to get facilities built on the Arbour Vale site that will be for the benefit of ALL the people of Slough and in all that time we've never heard a whimper from the residents of Stoke Poges and now there is a danger of having a school built in their snobby little parish they are up in arms and trying to steal the Arbour Vale site from under our nose. Bloody hypocrites.
Graham C
Following the conversations with Rob Anderson last week, I have written a letter to the bodies/individuals he suggested and sent Rob a copy...........he has complimented me on this and at his suggestion I have now copied the "Observer" tho not in time for this weeks issue. If any others would like to see this and maybe use some of it as a basis for their own letter please email me at grcox@btinternet.com and I will send a copy . Fight the fight !
