Gary James played last 15 mins and extra time, plus he played for Staines at the start of the season and played a handful of games before leaving, hence why they thought he was eligible. Anyway done with now and roll on semi final v feltham in the league cup on sat!!!

Sticking my nose through the door to say thanks to Smudge for the lively conversation last night and his welcome coffee to warm me on the touch line.

 

Like NLN I feel sorry for Westfield who put in a good solid performance but all credit to Walton Casuals who's second goal was pure class.

 

A great night out and a good example of why we all love non league footsie. Wish we'd had some grub tho. Like smudge I was starving at the end of the night.

I don't want to be a spoil sport,but when I left carshalton's ground last night,Smudge was outside the bar with his face stuffed with food and also had a plateful of food.his mouth was so full he couldn't even say goodnight to me,I looked for Andy to get a quick picture of the evidence that Mr "No Food Smudge" had enough food for the whole non league forum,but Andy must have shot home to get something to eat.So Mr Smudge please answer where did you get the food ? I guess that you raided the Surrey FA tea party after the game.

42 seater,collared a Surrey FA Official,taking out a plate of goodies,made him feel guilty,so he gave it to me.Think he was taking it home for his supper,3 sausage rolls,3 pork pies. They were delicious.
