Slough vs Aylesbury

About the game, sounds like a very entertaining game. but am worried that we appeared to be on the ropes against a rather average side, and let a 2 goal lead slip into danger 3 times!

Anyway enough of ny negativity, the 2 games vs Biggleswade are massive now. COYR!

we struggled terribly to get any control of possession to dictate the game and could argue Aylesbury were unlucky not to get a point

at least we stuck the chances away when we got them and its a win although we simply must tighten up the goals we are conceding via such basic situations

think we struggled with a lopsided formation and was a bit worried that although we had 3 center midfielders on we never really dominated midfield at all. the Aylesbury 8 ran the majority of the game

Well you got something right we were on the ropes. As for you other question, I assumed baby staines never went cos surely he would have seen how bad we were against a side that recently had a drubbing

and finally excepted that we aren't good enough for promotion

I believe we had 4 changes today, two of our regular players out through suspension keeper & a midfielder, and our new striker was unavailable today. It was Steve Smiths 1st appearance since he got crocked for you in 2011.

Make of that what you will ;)

Most comments on this thread, I tend to agree with.

I agree with Mr Rebel, we looked VERY lobsided today. It looked like 4-1-3-2 with no wide left midfield man. Jake played his usual out and out wide man role, but Martin seemed to be very central. Looked like we had Danny Murphy on his own on the left with no support in front of him.

I agree that both defences looked poor and for once, I have to agree with the old school one (which will not go down too well, but it is my honest opinion) there were times Aylebury played the better football and we need to raise our game if we want to really consider making the play offs.

My only gripe with Burgess is that he always seems to f and blind each time he is tackled or makes a mis placed pass. I just wish he get on with his game (just my opinion).

Glad for the three points, espcially, just finding out all other games were called off today, so at least we made ground....

I wasnt at the match as I am at university in Derby and being a student I can't afford the train prices to come and whatch the matches, I will be at the Rugby game though.

Also everyone who knows me knows that I fully support the club win or lose. I started whatching Slough when the team were doing badly and got kicked out of wexham park, so I have been whatching slough during our bad times and stuck by the club.
