Rother
http://www.windsorexpress.co.uk/Sport/Football/Other-local-clubs/EXCLUSIVE-Semi-final-farce-as-FA-launch-inquiry-14032013.htm Flackwell Heath seem to have played an ineligible player in the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy semi against Windsor, and Windsor seem to have done the same thing! Who should get to play in the final? I can hear the head-scratching at the FA from here!
Smudge
A PLAY OFF,between the 2 teams you beat in the previous round, there is previous for this in the Surrey Senior Cup a few years back, think Merstham were one club who benefitted.
Rother
I'm hoping Windsor Sec will be along soon to put our minds at rest. From what I've seen / heard he is an absolute stickler for the rules so it would be surprising if this one had slipped through his net.
Smudge
Lets hope so,football is more of a headache of the pitch than on,especially for a Secretary,a thankless task.
Rother
Especially one working at a club that has played nearly 90 1st teamers during the course of the season. I'm sure Windsor aren't unique in that but Jeez, that must be a grind for the Secs.

blackdouglas
So the Berks and Bucks FA consider anyone who has played in another Counties Senior Cup as Cup-tied. Interesting. Any other FA have this stance too, or is a general rule that's ecaped me in 17 years supporting Northwood. FWIW, to me, Windsor are the bigger trangressors having played someone who appeared in the B&B Senior for someone else whereas the Heathens keeper "only" appeared in a completely different competion. If it is a higher ranked competition then I am aware of the rule. I thought players can play up for different clubs but not down. So if the keeper appeared in the main Berks and Bucks competition then I owuld expect him to be cup tied.

Any other FA have this stance too, or is a general rule that's ecaped me in 17 years supporting Northwood. I know Surrey don't have this rule. The B&B rule: " Disqualification. i) A player although possessing the necessary qualification under Rule 8(a) shall not be allowed to compete in the Competition if he has played for another Club (including an abandoned match) in this Competition during the current season. or ii) played in any one (1) of the following Competitions: F.A. Trophy, the Senior Cup of this or other County Association in the current season. http://www.berks-bucksfa.com/more/~/media/countysites/berks-bucksfa/documents/county-cups/senior-trophy.ashx Regarding Krooner's point about 'playing down', that's allowed in Surrey as well. Windsor_Sec
Can't comment about the case until it's heard by B&B !

Rother
Oh, the final answer is that both teams are kicked out and Aylesbury lift the trophy without actually playing a final!! Anti-climax or what!?

VPCTFC
Added to this - Finchampstead Reserves won the B&B Junior Cup but it turns out they fielded an ineligible player in the final so will lose the trophy. He'd played for Chertsey in the Surrey Senior Cup earlier in the season. B&B really need to get their rules into the 21st century. At the moment they're stuck in the 1890s by considering players as senior or whatever rather than basing it on the level of the team they're playing for. http://www.bracknellnews.co.uk/sport/football/articles/2013/04/19/88584-finchampstead-reverses-set-to-lose-berks--bucks-cup/
