i see Tokyngton Manor FC get a mention

When Tokyngton Manor groundshared at Reynolds Field for half the 2009/2010 campaign the attendances were often quite decent, I’m sure that out of all the groundshare agreements Hanwell Town have entered into with the likes of Sport London e Benfica, Hayes Gate and Southall, Tokyngton Manor was by far their favourite one.

Probably a so called groundhopper who paid or bought a programme, I assume that The 61 FC don't report attendees who don't pay as there are always a fair few people in their bar for games.

The lowest I remember playing in front of was for Totternhoe at MK Wanderers near the start of last season which was 5 and all from Totternhoe. I've just checked & it looks like the "official" figure was given as 12

On checking my season at Sun Sports I found this from a week before I signed, but there would have been more watching than that. 3 was probably the number paying on the gate.

L Sun Postal Sports 2 3 Kentish Town Saturday, 13 October 2007

Attendance 3 J.Howes A.Mills

As a poster in the link that SB posted states

This goes back to an age old question of what constitutes an ‘attendance’:

Paying spectators?

Club officials?

Guest list entries?

Anyone in the vicinity of the pitch?

All of the above?

Attendance figures are rarely counted in a consistent and scientific manner. I know some clubs that only count paying spectators, where others headcount just about anyone inside the ground bar those playing the match. As such, many attendances, at least for comparative purposes, are rather meaningless.

I can fully believe that some lower ranking Step 6 clubs will have between 0 and 5 paying spectators, but may have 20-30 in the ‘ground’ consisting of club officials and players’ mates.

It would be interesting to see some FA guidelines on this.

When I was at Bedford town we always had 500-600-700 at home and over 1000 when we played bedford united that I can remember.

Seem to remember the big one and have in the back if my mind it was at Christmas or a Bank Holiday game. 1200 was the number I was thinking of but have asked Bedford Town the question.

How did you know ;)

It's not rocket science is it, you could also set your watch by when Tokyngton Manor paid Hanwell Town their rent which counted for a lot in the corridors of power at Reynolds Field

Can't keep a good TW@T down for long.

Mention SSML related stuff of years gone by and TW@T's your man, anything of present day and that depends on what he can find on relevant clubs websites

How did you know

Hanwell Town must have the patience of a Saint mustn't they for putting up with Sport London e Benfica for as long as they did but I bet they breathed a huge sigh of relief to see the back of the Club despite still being owed a lot of money.
