Start end of Feb finish Oct,only non league,nobody who shares with anybody would be allowed only clubs with thier own grounds (or a lease) and VP I hate to break the news to you but all these new grasses can grow all year round lol please.

 

Trouble is duncs, last year there'd have been numerous games called off in that period with the wet summer we had. Wouldn't have started very well this season either would it?

Think it is good to have a debate on what the options are.

More all weather pitches or summer football are two possible options

You and TRS are of the same ilk you know feck all but try your hardest to inflict your tame opinions on others,why should I listen to someone who's club have settled for 2nd best and then go around saying how well they are doing,thats not how I was taught football.

Just saying duncs! Also, player availability come in. Annual holidays taken in that period, more weddings in the summer, more stag doos, music festivals etc etc. Pre-season in January and February could be interesting as well!

Very harsh comments Duncs,they are 2 of the nicest,knowledgable people,you could hope to meet in Non League Football.Are you in the change of life,you have become sour of late,which is not the happy go lucky person,I have had the pleasure of meeting.

Have you ever run a football team or even easier do you ever read this forum,player avaiability is a problem all year round (what with the world being a smaller place nowadays ) holidays weddings christenings music events happen all year round,you need to come out of your little bubble and move on,jeez.

I don't claim to be the all knowing Kroons but when have you been involved with a relegation battle or having a team with a chance of wining the league or prepairing a team for a cup final and although I only won a runners up medal last year (southern combination cup final )its still more than you have ever won,lets have a bit of respect on here.

3G is the way forward for Non-League football clubs as these days games get called off much easier than back in the day. Its become a bit of a joke this season in my opinion.
