Anyone know what Banstead pitch is like?

 

Banstead Youth played (and won) last night but doubtful I would have thought.

Chipstead inspecting at 11.30 (just up the road).

It looks like more and more clubs will be following Maidstone United's footsteps by installing an all weather 3G pitch.

 

It seems the only way to garantee games can continue through the winter for non league clubs.

 

All well and good Frustin, but go back to the source of where are clubs going to find the money to pay to have 3G installed (not sure how much) especially now in this current financial climate ?? The last 2 winters have been freak winters, it could be a sign of change with global warming but lets not have a knee jerk reaction yet......

I agree on the money tree comment from CC but the FA may need to look into community projects.

 

Maidstone United got funding for their pitch which the whole community use. I believe about 10 teams in the area of Maidstone play on.

 

So in theory it can provide so much back and not just for the club that put it in place.

 

So I was talking through funding channels as the money tree doesn't exist unless you are someone like Chelsea

Camberley reserve game at home to Hastings United Reserves has been postponed. It's not weather related. The visitors are unable to raise a side.

 

Hastings' reserve manager resigned last night. I don't know what this means for their future in the Suburban League. At least it saves our pitch from a mullering today.
